Ill edit my original post to make it easier
Geoff rang me today which saved me a call tbh
The diner is having a refit in october so if we were to have another meet it would be in November
I mentioned the low numbers and the option of cancelling the meet altogether
He is fine with the regulars (You know who you are) turning up on the second saturday of the month and still giving us the 10% discount 8)
So we an still go for our regular monthly burger and banter
So ... I will still post the meet up every month from november and if nobody goes im not fussed as it will be shared with the american boys (Doubt they will turn up as the weather gets worse towards the winter )
Now then , Martin & noami , Kev & anne and the others who show every month
How about trying the diner in rye just for october so we dont miss out on a burger ??
Will need postcode and directions for the others as well as myself
Just an idea
Steve

Hi Steve.

That sounds cool to me (your new original post), I'm sure Naomi will be ok with it too, not seeing her until tomorrow.

I hope they don't change the Diner too much, I like it just as it is! 8)

It does look a little tired around the edges to be fair. some metal polish and working electrics would do it wonders :P

I'm up for meeting up in Rye, it save me petrol money and their milkshakes are amazing! But... it closes earlier than we're used to... 6pm 8O

This is the place www.farrellsofrye.com
Martin... they have an immaculate Shelby Mustang GT350 fastback in stock

I'll be there! :D

But why does a Diner have a Shelby Mustang in stock...?

"Yeah, Shelby and fries and a cola please..."

We'll come along for a burger :-) Completely flexible on time as we'll only be round the corner, although 4ish would be good.

Address is TN31 7EL, as Gareth said it's in the back of the American Car Showroom, not immediately obvious it's a diner unless they've put signs up since I was last there.

I'll be there with the kids :)

Might be worth giving them a bell. It's a husband and wife run business and last time we were there they were scooting out pretty sharpish to pick the kids up... :)

There's limited parking and the side of the place is shared with the gym next door. so it's best to go a little further and use the car park down the road, costs a pound or something though

Cheers gareth
Gave them a call today and have booked us in this saturday 3.30 onwards
They are only open till 5 on saturday guys
Have said there maybe 10-12 of us but may be a chance of more turning up so were covered incase anyone else wants to pop along
Jackie advised me we may be better parking down the road in the carpark which cost £1 as there limited parking but will see on the day no doubt
Gareth , martin and kev i text you all earlier

I'll give the old girl a pep talk and see if she'll manage it, the rears not sounding too great and haven't got the time to fix it. I'll get the queen CD's out as that'll do the job of drowning out the noise.

I'm coming along this month, but to be honest I won't be here regularly.
It closes waaaay too early for me, and as I'm not an early riser at the best of times and I like to get completely wasted on a friday night, it limits what I can do on a saturday! :D

I'll be sticking to the Ashford venue. 8)

I'm not moaning, just saying in advance my intentions.

Looking forward to seeing some American muscle cars though! winkeye
