Oh dear.

Not a good turnout this time, Splondike and a couple of E39s arrived but Naomi and I were the only ones inside the Diner a while!

We still enjoyed our monthly burgers, but hopefully it'll pick up again next month... :?

I hope it does as well mate and sorry you were there with naomi and all that lovely food
Know the weather was crap but no idea what i gotta do to get people to turn up again especially when you can sit inside
If you noticed our night is now shared with i believe a american car lot ??
If the meet doesnt pick up again no doubt they will take it over and we wont have any area to sit , Its our night and cant believe nobody takes advantage of it tbh
Ill still turn up for a monthy burger with you and the missus any saturday for a natter but might be getting near the time to give this one up one and for all tbh
Everyone moaned about having to do the crossing to lakeside , Its cold and the coffee and burgers gave them the squits then dont turn up to this meet and theres not many meets this area either
I sit here thinking im flogging a dead horse again and this is probably the only one ive missed since the start except when it was cancelled due to snow
Ill have a chat with geoff next month and go from there
Also me or martin no longer own bmws and still show to keep the numbers up and have a chat and banter
Well down to you guys now i think , Turn up or lose it to the american guys ..... Simples

It'd be a big shame Steve but I can understand your frustration.

Let me know if you're ever up this way or just fancy popping down there, I'm sure Naomi and I would be up for an extra night out occasionally. :)

There were no American cars there either this month.

Cheers martin , Im deffinatly up for that , Might invade one of the other groups nights and park out the way and have a wander round and of couse a burger
Not sure which month the american cars invade but here is a poster up behind the counter by the till stating 2nd saturday of the month , Apparently its because our night is quiet but my guess is they wont show if the weathers crap but there is a big group of them who do the charity runs in kent also

well what can i say and i thought ace was bad with 4 of us turning up, we arrived there at 8.30pm and were the only ones there, we were told we only missed the other 3 by 2 min, anyway the food was good, staff were brill, and it gave the old turd a good run out.

Maybe the weather did put people off then, it was terrible in Maidstone, lovely double rainbow though! :)

I'm happy to share with the Yankmobiles, I love a bit of Detriot muscle!

I can see myself in a Yank tank, as long as it has a manual gearbox and a huge V8! :D

Hopefully me and my friend will turn up at the next meet so that will be two more E30's to beat the american guys back with! :)

Cheers guys , Not sure when the american guys start there meet there but it is advertised the same night as we have
Martin , I can see myself in something v8 and big
Funny thing is i was offered my old e30 back to buy and it wasnt the right time wih the house etc but have now been offered a straight swap for my Gsi and sort of declined :?
Im starting to think most have moved on from e30s ??
Dont get me wrong i enjoy i on here and loved my tech 2 which was my biggest regret in selling and have enquired about a few tourers recently also
But regarding the diner
Correct me if im wrong , Im thinking of say just the sussex lot who used to attend every so often ...

Jim
John
Lawrence
Paul
Vince
Dan
Alan
Arron
Jamie
Myself
Terry

Think only dan has a bmw on the road and thats a m5
And jamie sometimes comes up with the forum5 guys also who hardly attend nowadays
It was mainly the sussex lot who kept the meet going and 80% of those havent attended in ages and dont own bmws
Ill maybe let this run till xmas then put it to bed guys and will chat with geoff at he next meet
Sorry but decision made over the last few months meets , If it amazingly picks up i may re-consider but to be honest i doubt it :(

It's a shame, Steve, but I fully understand your reasoning.

It won't stop Naomi and I going every month though! :D

Cheers martin , I hope it wont stop anyone going as is a great place
There are other regulars who still go on a regular basis who i didnt mention as just did that as a example of how things have changed
There are a great group who do turn up and its always a laugh
Maybe have a chat about in next meet and maybe do a mini meet for the regulars or might put a post up see if anyone else is interested in a burger and a banter but not a offical bmw meet ?
This means we maybe give our night up but a little group of us can turn up as ordinary folk any saturday and have a mooch round the yanks or old school ford lot :P
Its nearly 60 miles there for me and i think its well worth it as do the ones who come up (None in bmws) , Keep thinking its that time of year or ressesion but to be honest it wasnt over busy through the summer either
Roll on October 10th 8)

We should be there next meet, maybe not with the E30 though :-( as the reshell may be starting :-) I did have a reasonable excuse for not making this one I was approx 300 miles away at the "ring" :-)

Will always be down for a buger on the 2nd sat if others are going. There is a new American diner as part of an American car showrrom in Rye if anyone fancies meet sometime.

I've been there, some very tasty cars and equally tasty milkshakes. for example: mars bar milkshake... with mars bar blended into it!

NEWBIE!!!! The bloody cheek of it!!!!

I turn my back for 2 months....... ok fair point. Had some things going on. I cant remember why I didnt turn up to this one. Think I have been working after all. My trouble is I'm either totally skint or working.

I swear I will make one soon. It may be in my shabby E34. It might be in a dirty6??????

No worries dude!

The next meet will be on 11th December, traditionally a quiet one, as it's soon before Christmas, but I'm sure that the hard core regulars, including Naomi and I will be there, it would be good to see you again. :D
