Ashby Folville - Leicestershire - Tues 13th April

Some of you may or may not have been to the 'Ashby Folville Car & Bike Meet' before. Those of you who have, probably know how popular it gets.... for a Tuesday.

The entire village gets taken over for the evening, by car nuts and hairy bikers, a good number of car clubs get together same time same place on a nice summers' evening of cars of all makes and models.

Its a regular monthly meet, second Tuesday of every month, thru the spring and summer. Arrival time for most people is around 5pm, so I've posted this nice and early if zoners want to see if they can dive out of work a little early to allow travelling time.

I've posted some pics from last year to give people an idea of turnout, venue etc Postcode is LE14 2TE.

is this april date official as ive been trying to find out cus i suggested this location to rav for a meet later on in the summer but everyone ive spoken to did not want to commit to a date for the first meet due to the dodgy weather

This early in the year, and with the weather having been unpredictable so far - I guess its a case of keeping an eye on the weather on the day & deciding if you are going to make it or not...

If a group of zoners do go, we can always call the pub before travelling to check the cricket pitch a.k.a parking field is open.

well if someone can confirm the date i will be there come hell or high water as ive been to this venue even when its been grey and miserable all day and when ive arrived its been rammed solid just because the weather came nice at the last minute.. .. the top and bottom of it is its a must for any enthusiast young or old

Andy will come in his 323i chromie on a tuesday for sure as he has tuesdays off... The Mrs will come too this too I bed to look at all the other nice cars, shame the cab aint in the road yet else she could drive that... We are moving house round that date as well but i'm sure she wont mind.

Just over two weeks away now - anyone up for this may be worth bearing in mind this one is an early eve start - to make the most of it, arrival between 5-6pm is advisable. Those travelling may want to scoot out of work a touch early!

Guys did have this suggested to me, and as said above,weather will play a part with some on this meet.
I will be more than happy to go with this later in the year, better weather too.

Alright fellas a good place to meet would be the hobby horse pub its just off the a46 near thurmaston and only 20 minutes ish from ashby so a pretty central meeting ground any body wanting to meet there pm me with rough times and i will pm you back with my number looks like its gonna be a good one..

Just got back shame the weather went a bit shitty but its a real good meet, all sorts of motors there something for everyone, just uploading some pics to photo bucket and i'll put em up.

Not to many E30's while i was there saw a nice black sport, a touring with a cb radio and just as i was leaving a bloke turned up in a 325.

There was another E30 318I moordoor there that didn't seem special or that clean but the bloke wanted almost £2000 for it

Woohoo! Touring with CB radio was mine :p Shame about the weather...just turned a few hours before going! Sod's law...

saw that 1.8 moredoor too - the guy was having a laugh...no way was it worth that much!

I think that was probably me that showed up soon before you left, as I saw you perform a small burnout that fared an optomistic 2/10 as you pulled out of the car park, lol..

I spotted a white E30 I think on BBS's when I arrived, not sure it if was a zoner.. It was definitely a good turnout considering it was the first of the year, and the following months will be much bigger as the light stays for longer. All in all, had a fun & eventful evening!

yes got to agree with e30shed not a bad turn out at all.. and it was bloody cold by the time we left pac1982 you should have pm me for my number so we could have all hooked up
