Is there going to be one of these in the early months of 2010?

I think Rav organises them now doesn't he? Aren't they in Coventry or something?

Yeah at the Toby Cavery, CV7 7HL :o:

Not the best weather at the moment, think Rav was saying around April time, gives me enough time too :D

Don't look at me, i don't have "E30 Zone Meet Organiser" under my name do i, thats Rav's job.

(Why didn't they ask me  , oh crap, did I say that out loud!)

The Moat House in Tamworth is ok, but as said is a little small, i suppose for the hard core who turn up it would be fine, the front car park is bigger. I don't think however that the management wouls be very keen on a regular meet, its not their bag.....

Nothing else stands out in Tamworth to be honest, i still think the Toby Carvery at Stonebridge is a good venue and easy to find, except for Imy of course :D :D

The original idea we all had about alternating between the West and East still has merits, all we need is a venue in the East Midlands.

I think a April first meet was mentioned, but not heard anything since, need to get a thread started, get it stickied and go from there, lots of input needed form all interested to get the numbers up :D

I found it alright last meet, even though i was a bit late :o:

I agree that the Toby Cavery is a good location, was okay in the summer :)

Can't really think of a venue in the East Mids, there is the MFN (?) in Notts (?)

They always tried to keep it close to the M40 to me as I normally do a 160-180 mile round trip for most meets. Also with the weather as it is at this time I think it's just perfect for killing e30's so would be best to wait a few months.

Sorry Gents, just seen this.
Ollie, there will be a Meet, maybe in March.
Reason being, the few "Hardcore" ones will turn up if the meet is held earlier no doubt.
But due to weather conditions, i think its more favorable to wait for the Sun, or at least let it get abit warmer.
We've had meets when the weathers been crap, and only a handfull will turn up, one of those being "Felix"AKA Dan who does travel a distance.
Any suggestions for dates are welcome too, as I would like this meet to be held where the maximun number of cars can attend.

No probs Mandi, will do.
But these meets in the mids are normally held on a sunday afternoon about 2pm and finished for about 4.30-5pm.
I'm sure Paul AKA Diddlermoooredoooor can have a mooch around in his hometown for a suitable location.

A couple of us did have problems finding the Toby in Cov at the last meet. One of the guys who I drove up in convoy with from Northampton got very lost close by to the Toby & must've done two full loops of Coventry before arriving 8O

Ollie, PM me if you are desperate - I'm always up for a blat around locally, weather permitting!

It was gooner (silver touring) that got lost, he missed the slip road off the dual carriageway & disappeared for an hour and a half.

Having now been to the Toby that day, I know where it is - I think a few people missed the exit off the roundabout upto the pub carpark.

Thanks for the offer of your number.. Hopefully there will be few more of us travel up to Cov  next time

What..................... 8O 8O , did you do geography at school.....

Try google maps, directions, Coventry is about 30-40 minutes drive form Northampton, up the M1 onto the M45, then A45 follow that and you'll find the Pub, simple journey
