Nice one rob .
Seems pointless putting this meet up as nobody seems interested anymore and think it has died a death tbh just the usual few
Id rather save the fuel and food money (£60) and put on a bbq free of charge instead

Talking about me again Rob??
You finished your engine conversion yet?
I'll be there!
Steve, good of you to offer the BBQ but could you compete with those monster burgers??

It's a shame you feel that way Steve, after your efforts which I for one (and I'm sure others do to) apreciate, I support it as much as possible.
The weather has been mighty cold / unpleasant for the last few meets, hopefully it will get a bit nicer soon and the clocks go forward this month so things might get better then!

Cheers martin
Its a cracking place for a meet but nobody goes which i cant work out , Food is spot on and its warm inside , Its now shared with the vauxhall guys to try and hold on to this for the bmw lot but nobody seems bothered whatever i say , I drive the 50+ miles there the same as terry and the 5 or 6 others , Well most the others wont go now as its the usual ones from my way and a couple of locals like yourself and they wont justify the fuel .
They want a more local meet and have started doing the brighton meet which i attended last time .
Its a long way to go for a burger and the missus enjoys it so ill go either way in the vauxhall or bmw (Looking for another e30)
Cards on the table guys ..
There are people a lot more local than me who dont go and there are some who come over the crossing to get to this one on occasions which i appreciate , Everyone wanted this meet but nobody goes
I seem to be going in circles every month , Instead of opening another thread is here something wrong with this location as it doesnt clash with anything ??
Or am i missing something ??

I for one have been piss poor at attending these meets!
I have been able to attend for a few months because the car was off the road and previous to that just clashed with other arrangements.
I don't think that there is anything wrong with the venue at all, everybody seems a friendly lot and the one time that I did manage to come along everybody made me feel welcome.
Is it just that there aren't that many of us in this area???

I dont think there are loads from down our way shane to be honest, but we cant make people buy e30's. Saw ben earlier today and he said he would most liklely be up for it. Don't know if I can make it now unless I jump in with one of you chaps as I am fast hurtling towards the end of the first of my 2 and a bit weeks off, but havent started the conversion. My mechanic decided he couldn't do it
Now is the best time to start, but I will see what is going on. Worst comes to the worst I can come up in my dad spanking new Peugeot Partner
(He only bought it becuase he has 2 big dogs I swear, I came almost close to disowning him for that), though I will try my luck with bringing his 328 instead (God loves a tryer).
Steve anyone advertising themselves as being from Kent way I am asking them to go. Wonder if it might be worth sticking it my sig as well.

Rob - Jump in with me mate. No probs.
We'll take a slow drive over looking for E30's to drag along.
I did speak to a lad on the Driftworks forum from Faversham with a tourer, I'll PM him and see if he's up for it!

Good news with the engine swap for me though. Finally badgered the father in law to let me use his garage. Now either borrow or rent an engine crane. Either way its going in the garage to be started this saturday!

My touring has been in a bodyshop for over 3 weeks now, so hopefully I'll have it back in time for this meet and you will all get to see a freshly painted, rust and dent free touring with tech 2 kit fitted.

Sure geoff would love that! Dont think it will be finished driveable by this saturday but hopefully finished running at least (need to have standard centre pipe chopped an welded to fit the IS manifold, or some variation on that in order to have a complete exhaust). Ill be there anyway!and we can all pitch in and get it finished
