This year's MG Northumbria Classic car show is at its new venue of Tynedale Park near Corbridge on 06/07/08 following last year's event being over-subscribed with over 300 vehicles signed-up.
Last year we had over 30 BMWs on display - and not just from the North East either, but from as far away as Fife, Glasgow and Workington and we're hoping for another large turn out this year.
This is a charity event and consequently receives both television and extensive local press coverage. In the first two years alone over £6,000 has been raised for Mencap. Apart from the cars on display, MGN list other attractions as trade stands, a dog agility demonstrations, and musical entertainment from the 40 piece Newcastle Concert Band and the Balliol Singers (?) who will perform throughout the day.
I'll advise final details later, but I need to know your name and car details as soon as possible if you wish to display your car because entry is by pass only.
Thanks,
Mick

Already got plenty of names down for this, but there's still plenty of room for anyone else who'd like to come.

If anyone else wishes to attend but has not given me their details, can they do so as soon as possible?
Thanks,

This is the final shout for entries for Tynedale Park.
Anyone who wishes to attend but has not been in touch must do so by tomorrow evening at the latest.
I've also just noticed that if you want your car judged MGN need to know in advance. If I don't hear from you either way, you'll be listed as not judged.

if you remember the 4 door......it was a sh....ter.
not that bad but i didnt have love affair with it. something was not right, it was a 4 door.
so got a 2 door shell which i though was good but it wasnt. scuttle needed welding (could have been done) but the electrics seemed to be shot. gremlins might have had it or some previous chav owner?
so the tourer came up for £200
engine and box are shot! over heated a few days later but it doesnt matter.
changed all the front running gear on the tourer and doing the rear beam bushes soon. m30 is in it but its up for sale now. im just sick of trying with it. i have everything and it was running for a while but........who knows.
£450 for my engine and bits but not prop.
might m50 it in time or maybe just dump the good old m20b25 in it?
your baur has been a big old project. good luck with it mick, 15 counts are not too bad if they are not major.

We're meeting in the Waitrose car park at Hexham which is at Wentworth Park NE46 3PJ.

We've got from 0900 to 1030 to get in, so I reckon if we meet up from around 0830, that will give us time to get the passes handed out, wait for stragglers and get to the show - it's only 10 minutes away.
See you Sunday.
Mick
p.s. I've got a spare ticket if anyone else wants to come.

Sorry you couldn't make it Steve, but pleased that yours has got through.Baur323 wrote:MOT no probs, wheres the mims Mick?
Mims are in the kitchen at the minute, all the small stuff is in the boot, wings and spoiler are in the office and spare doors are in the store room. Got no space left anywhere now.
A guy at work is going to do some welding for me so thought it better putting the X spokes on - just in case.
Mick
