Blatants Magnificent Weekend. June 30th. Newquay. UPDATE!!!!
Moderator: martauto
Thanks Gareth,
Must admit to forgetting the Tank museum, AND MonkeyWorld... Could be an interesting cruise...
Did mention the New Forest for a cruise though. Matchams raceway is mostly bring your own vehicle, but did suggest karting at Hurn.
Bars and Clubs in Bournemouth are indeed plentiful, if this meet idea has sufficient interest, maybe other locals can decide which ones we should go to...
Cheers.

look me up, i like falmouth, was a taxi driver there for two yearsNot sure if I'll plan anything for this summer. My folks fly home for USA in September for a week, so will be Falmouth way then.
Would be nice to get back down there in August, but I am doubtful, it's going to take a while for me to sort my finances back out!!!
Shame, it would be a good jaunt, especially if we had the weather!

Monkeyworld?! Sounds good...
As for Monkeyworld, I always worry about going there, in case they think I've escaped... Can easily show you the way though...

Nice one!! This was mainly ITF but with a few rings dedicated to WTF bouts. First time they've allowed coloured belts to complete rather than just black belts which meant i could take parttailoutcharlie wrote:i used to teach thatTaekwondo world championships in Birmingham,my mates just got onto the british team for the ITF world champs (i think)

Sparring wasn't so great
Got beaten in the first round - some dodgy scoring going on though imo!! The guy that beat me even said afterwards he thought the scoring was a bit random. Still, swings and roundabouts - maybe i'll get the dodgy calls next time...
Pleased with my pattern competition though - came away with a bronze which lifted my spirits after the sparring
Did well as a club as well - took Gold in Men's yellow belt patterns, and Gold in Women's yellow belt sparring, and my instructor got Silver in Executive (old people) black belt sparring - not a bad haul for a small West Country club
So have you stopped training now then or just stopped teaching?
