Rog - any idea of a 'timetable' for the day?! I might be polling up a bit late (party the night before), but I'm not fussed about the driving about anyway (in the slowmobile as the E30 won't be ready!) so it's more about the people, the pub, the food & of course the pot o' tea! Guess I'll just give ya a buzz when I get near, so no biggie either way.

Actually, if you could just arrange a miracle, I'll be there in the E30 at 10am - sorted. :thumb:

Right then fella's,bear with me,been asleep on the sofa having messed up dreams 8O did involve cars though, with no wheels, racing and with a chinese man who wanted to kill me

The plan is still to meet at Marlborough common at 10am with a view to leaving at 10.30am,it's fairly critical we leave on time as there are a number of things lined up and we won't fit everything in otherwise, you wouldn't want to miss the pub now would ya!
It maybe better to aim to get to Marlborough for 9.30am to give yourselves more time in case any of you get lost or held up,i'll be there at 9.30am myself.
Please do not use the common for donuts and handbrake turns,it it is a meeting only, they'll be time for that later on in the day

We will then make our way to Salisbury Plains.

First stop will be at a huge graveled area for those who want to pretend to be rally drivers and for those who want to find out what a hand brake and rear wheel drive is really for, been raining a lot too

We will then go on to a second stop where there is a two mile stretch of flat wide and pretty smooth gravel track.
Here you can go for a blast, keeping within the Salisbury Plain 30mph untracked vehicle speed limits of course

At both place's parking out of the way of low flying gravel is no problem,so if larking about on gravel is not your thing, don't worry.

It should now be about 1pm so next stop.....pub.
This is going to be at "The Stonehenge Inn" in Durrington.

After pub,we will be making our way to a secret meeting point, which only myself and my map know about winkeye
We must leave the pub on time though as timing at this point is important.

Joining all the stops are some good B roads and unclassified's.......with no speed camera's,not that i'm suggesting anything obviously.

It will be a pretty busy day and should be good fun,not to mention the little extra bonus for the day

Directions..................

From Swindon,M4

As you come into Marlborough you will go past the Marlborough Golf Club, which will be on your right.

You need to take the next right turn.
Drive along this road for about 100 yards and turn right again on to Free's Avenue.
Meeting point is about 200 yards up this road, just past Marlborough Rugby Club House.

From "down south",you'll most likely be coming in on the A338.

When you arrive in a small place called Burbage the road basically continues forward but is now called the A346 (you should now see signs for Marlborough.

When you arrive in Marlborough go straight over first small roundabout.

You will the come to two double mini roundabouts,go straight over these, you will see there is a petrol station on the other side, your looking to go past this.

You will now come to another roundabout, take second exit and head up the long hill (will be sign posted Swindon)

At the TOP of hill, take your first left.

After 100 yards or so take your first right onto Free's Avenue, your now on Marlborough Common,we will be meeting about 200 yards down this road just past the Marlborough Rugby Club House.

From A4 (London)

When you arrive in Marlborough you will approach
You will the come to two double mini roundabouts, turn right here, you will see there is a petrol station on the other side, your looking to go past this.

From A4 Chippenham.

As you come into Marlborough, you'll pass under the College Arch,at first roundabout after this, turn right.
You'll go through the high street.
At top of high street you'll see the Town Hall, turn left here.
Drive right to top of hill,at the top is a sharp right bend, don't go around it,go straight on on to Free's Avenue.
your now on Marlborough Common,we will be meeting about 200 yards down this road just past the Marlborough Rugby Club House.

I think thats all directions covered.
