Cheddar gorge meet

I doubt I'll be there if I'm honest. I've got far to many photos to edit and as quickly as possible

We all still on for Sunday then?
Sadly I'm not going to be in an e30 but I think I will still be there. Mine is languishing cylinder head-less waiting to be recomissioned after winter
Does any one need any parts??? I am breaking a diamond 325i touring, a neon cab, and a diamond mtech 1 at the moment. Give me a shout with anything you need

Hopefully so, I've washed my car and everything! Might even change the slightly knackered rear shocks beforehand as well.maggspower wrote:We all still on for Sunday then?

This is looking less and less likely for me, took the car out yesterday after finally taxing it and it broke down and won't run right, on top of that I#m in the middle of trying to start up my own company, have just moved to Devon and I'm fairly stressed out with it all, am genuinely gutted to not be coming, if anything changes I'll let you know.
I'm hoping there will be another in a months time?

Could do with horse shoe and boot struts/springs if you have them (boot is a sinlgle spring/strut on my car)maggspower wrote: Does any one need any parts??? I am breaking a diamond 325i touring, a neon cab, and a diamond mtech 1 at the moment. Give me a shout with anything you need
That's a shame fella but understandable...I just have to hope nobody walks off with mine as it keeps unlocking itself.matt86 wrote:*snip*

Well despite my car not being in the meet photo, and being shat on by what must have been a fook off albatross, I had a great time
I too am crap with names, but I met, and caught up with some good people today, great to see you all. Lets make this a regular thing for the summer.
As I mentioned to some of you, I'm thinking of organising one the Welsh side of the Severn bridge. As an idea outline I'm thinking a meet with a bit of a route taking in some of the areas great roads and photo opportunitys and maybe some grub or a BBQ somewhere too. Any one fancy it?

definitely in for this and for every cheddar gorge meet from now on, pretty gutted, but did get some bits done to my e30 and got drunk for free, so wasn't al bad, would of preffered to be at e30 meet though!maggspower wrote:Well despite my car not being in the meet photo, and being shat on by what must have been a fook off albatross, I had a great time![]()

I'd certainly be up for more gorge meets as well as a trip into that dodgy land over the bridge.

Sounds good Byron. We better start some Zone fundraising to cover the cost of us getting over the bridge
As I said on Sunday, I'll start looking at some routes for a hack across Exmoor. I'm thinking a morning to afternoon drive, then an afternoon chill out/BBQ somewhere.

Will be good, I might have both of my e30's on the road by then and let my brother drive the other one down.
I have to go into Wales on Monday....£6.20 the website says, what a rip off, might go the long way round. Robbing gits, I don't want to pay to go into Wales, but I'd pay to enter England.jmc330i wrote:Sounds good Byron. I'd be up for an Exmoor drive too, especially if the weather is like it has been the last few days (but not Sunday), roof down, tanning weather.

We charge so you lot don't think of popping over, the money gets put behind the bar at Christmas
There is a way to get over half price: Stop at the services, get out the towing bar, tow or get towed through the tolls and only get charged for 1 vehicle
I will be starting a thread for the "Welsh day release tour" soon so keep an eye out, I'm thinking a weekend in june, gives people a bit of time to get sorted, and to work out a date.

Looking forward to this, the last time I come over the fecking bridge in my other e30 to sort my passport out I had a nasty surprise waiting for me on the otherside, I hate the welsh police 3 points and a full search suspected carrying illegal substances
so stayed away since then ...but this should be a good meet....look forward to it .
