First weekend in May is out as far as I am concerned,I have a commitment elsewere.

Friday's are 'difficult' for me to book off work without ages of notice,Sunday's less so...

Therefore any 'other' Sunday in May is fine,bearing in mind that us Englisher's need travelling time.

I have an itch to scratch called Applecross,would like to combine this event with a return to Applecross!

I'm not sure it'll survive the trip! At the moment it can't even get out of the garage. It's also a large cost for me, 900-1000 miles (lots of fuel), hotels, food, etc.

I'll have one and like you Colin, can bring more if needed, but with the numbers of punters posting in the "Scotland" thread we should be able to get more cars and people.

On the assumption that a golf outing is not likely to be popular, my suggestion would be a stand alone event and a full day thing, maybe a morning meet, scenic 30 mile or so fun run with 30 "clues" to solve en route with a sit down meal or something at the end.

It'll take some organising and I'm happy to assist.

Perhaps a local specialist could provide some sponsorship?

I'm in and a golf event sounds good to me but I am a boring ****

You can go for a run anywhere on your road down and your road home.

I see this event having a series of convoys from key locations - e.g. North, West, East, South, all picking up attendees on the road and ending up in the same place.

We're going to hold the anniversary meet at the Scottish Transport Extravaganza at Glamis Castle on 13th and 14th July.
