Trip to Munich Legends with pub lunch leaving from Pompey

The Hartge is temporarily off the road. Someone spray treated the fence close to where my car was parked and the WHOLE of the car is covered in creasote type spray. The roof is impregnated with it and I forgot to post up. Spoke to Paul this morning.

I will go in sit in the naughty room.

thats why i stopped puting my name down for things a long time ago. thered be 1 man and his dog there when 20 or 30 had said " ill definately be there"
everyone always starts with the best intention but it never works out that way.

Unfortunately, this sort of "mentality", for want of a better word, is the reason the meets have low turnouts. People decide not to bother as others aren't going, and the meet becomes a zero turnout.

...Then when we approach Munich Legends next time, they probably won't bother either...

It all escalates...

Gordon , I was only going to make the numbers up as was terry , Not driving miles for nobody else to show , Done that with lakeside and the diner before for only a few to be there .

the problem isnt those that dont claim to be going from the outset its those that say they are going then dont that gives a bad impression to the odd couple that turn up and make them think in future they wont bother.

Same as i wont attend a portsmouth / lakeside meet and put my name down unless its worth the trip , Put my name down hoping others would attend not drop off as it was a more local one for me , Well i suppose a hour drive , Then you think "whats the point in going now" so i didnt as others probably didnt .

I went, bit of a dire turn out but on the whole good. Lovely motors there and ML even put on a lunch time spread!

I was there, only 3 of us in the end but still a meet. Was good to meet some new people and see some nice cars.
