Been looking at the map Wayne, looks a doddle. Left out the carpark, over the big rbt, follow it to the lights and turn left. Follow the road, then turn right for the castle... Just follow the signs I think it said. If the turn for the castle is well signposted, there should be no problem at all... :thumb:

...if not, we've got a convoy of 30+ cars and one BIG headache...

Well done on the maps though mate, brill idea. If you assume that 30% will KNOW where they're going, maybe do another 10 just to be sure, should be more than sufficient. As I said if the signs are good, they hopefully will only be an emergency comfort-zone backup anyway. Thanks for that though. I've done similar for meets in this area, but I don't really know your area well enough.

11.45 Willet Arms, Wimborne.
11.50 Canford Bottom Mark?
12.00 Poulner Services
12.15 Rownhams Services
12.30 Junction 11, M27. (Turn left off roundabout.)

Anyone needing any further info, or not on my convoy list, please let me know, so you don't get left behind.

My current convoy list by the way consists of:

Cookie325i and Munky at Willet Arms,
Oliol and March109 at Poulner,
Ziggy, Jon_Bmw, Jam172, Dodgem and Aretha at Rownhams,
Dameon and zimmerBimmer1 at J11.
See you @ Canford Bottom!

Your timings are a tad out, it will take longer than 10mins between CB & Poulner... and you certainly won't make Rownhams in 25mins from CB if your stopping at Poulner too!

Anyway, we won't leave anyone behind, looking forward to meeting you all in the morning! Please excuse the state of my car, didn't get round to washing it today, was trying to fix my neighbours caravan

I'm f*cking livid/gutted.

I'd even bought my travel snacks and a tin of those service station sweets for tomorrow.

Gonna get it up on a jack tomorrow morning and see if its anything fix/bodge-able but I dont have high hopes... cable ties and gearbox mounts aren't a good combination.

:(

Pm me your address and if I cant fix it I'll stick some pennies in an envelope and special them to you first thing monday for the kseal.

Can't believe after all the worries about the head (which the kseal seems to have fixed, ironically) this happens.

:x :( :x :(

half my engine bay is held together with cable ties...

Two weeks ago I cable tied a mates gear linkage on...

There is nothing that cant be fixed with cable ties

if it is the mount, which I think is the prime suspect, then I'm sure I'll be able to bodge it somehow. ]

My main fear is that I've knocked the gearbox off the engine as iirc the lowest point of the box/engine (after the sump) is the part where the box mounts to the engine... but fingers crossed its not that. :? 8O

Wheres the nearest train station? This really is a meet I dont want to miss. :(

The linkage is on the top of the box. There's no moving parts at the bottom.

Though the shock of the impact may have knocked it out of place... Curse this night time lark... I'd be out there now, wet and greasy (oo-er!) if I could see what I was doing.

I have a bloody great 2million candle power torch... that needs charging :o:

Its great fun scaring the locals with (looks like a police searchlight  )... but because of this... its now dead

I'll be out there at daybreak though. As per pm, this is one of those meets that will be remembered for a long time to come and I really want(ed) to be a part of it.

If the worst comes to the worst I may well lower myself to pubic transport and get the train.

Gordon, before you leave, pm me your number... your services may be required to pick me up from a train station tomorrow at some point :o:

Munky i'm sure you'll be up at this time being a house wife. Cleaning I suspect. I can pick you up from salisbury train station if you want, and as long as you are not weird :) Won't be able to drop you back off at salisbury though, could do southampton? You'd have to be in salisbury by half 11 ABSOLUTE latest though as i need to get to the meeting point on time or i'll get hopelessy lost.

postcode for the Churchillian Pub - directly opposite the meet point is PO6 3LS.
The castle, not sure... Google tells me it's PO16 9QP.

Mark, see you at Canford Bottom, mate. Times not THAT critical, I'd rather people get there a few minutes early for the meet, rather than have to wait too long for people... no offence, anyone, my timings ARE probably slightly out...

Munky, if you need, mate, you're welcome to jump off at Poole station and travel up with me, can you get to the station by 11.30 though if you do?
Good luck with sorting the car, mate. 07974 914 962

Morning everyone, we had a bit of a party last night and didn't get to bed til 3am, i was woken at 6am with the Thunderstrorm, closely followed by my 4 year old who to put it politely doesn't like thunderstorms much

No i'm not about to make an excuse not to come just letting you know why i am likely to be far from my best

Gordon you have got me down for meeting en route, but i am coming in from the East with E30 Steve, so see you at the burger van.
