yeah but there's modified, and brutalised... and I think we all know what category mine falls into

Its all good, it was just the way iain worded his post, made it sound like it was a stocker thing. Its been clarified by pm though so no worries.

I dont know if its been suggested/is possible... but is malcs e30 still around? Would be pretty cool to have it there if there's any way... or is that just wrong?

Anyone else not bringing an E30? Jam172?
Erm if this has become an E30 un modified only event since i logged off last night, i will bow out now. I'm not going to drive 120 mile round trip and leave any of my cars parked by a burger van, sorry. Best count me out.

yeah there is loads of room at the castle, even inside on the road if not on the grass. If not there is a large car park outside- I wouldn't even leave my shed by Mick's either, let alone something like yours Jam!! Come along dude :D

Hope both of you can make it ! Will be good, we have local press coming and photographers, a great show from the Zone but as long as it is understood that it is an E30 meet and not an other car meet.

OK Chris / Jim / James ?

This i just a slight change from "Bring the E3, Malcom would have loved to see that"

I think Iain was just worried about it turning into a max powaaah style thing... As Simon pointed out, Malc's E30 was modified & any old BMW be it E28, E3 or whatever will certainly fit in - everyone with taste will be more than welcome!

hey people im sure Malcolm, like any other car nut, would love to see any sort of BMW there- ok so maybe E30's only for the big group shot for Sheila, but y not let people pay there respects/show comradery? I don't see any harm in that. Jam, I'd love to see your E3, looked awesome in the pix you posted- think you defenitly ought to come and Tylerma, any E30 on boost has gotta be a complete giggle to watch!!! Come on guys..... :D

ps I agree no clios, saxos, scoobys etc.... :D

Yup... what he said. Everyone's welcome. And at a guess all the bmw's will be welcome in the photo's (except anyone that dares to turn up in a dirty 6), the modified cars comment was aimed at non bmw's and 'custom' (read; chavvy) modified corsas, scooobs. etc etc.

yeah i would like to think ALL BMW's would be welcome in the pic but that's not my shout- im just shooting it!! Didn't wanna step on the toes of those organising this, but as a fellow petrol head I like all cars that are done tastefully (exclude all chavvy cars in that comment please) would like to see everyone who put their name down turn up :D

All BMWs associated with the Zone are welcome. ALL.

My post was misinterpreted -what I was saying that non we do not want to be gatecrashed by non BMW custom cars. I have nothing against them but that is NOT the theme of the day.

Hope that clarifies things !

i agree 100% , this meet is to remember monsport , he drove a bmw and was a zoner respected and loved by all.
all the people on the list so far should turn up this meet has been posted for weeks , people have been running around trying to sort out venues out of respect if not knowing him.

like other people have said this is not a boy racer show , so every one else please don't spoil this very important day for sheila, malc or for the zoners

rant over : comments please
if there wern't people like me,
with cars like mine,
who would you put down to make yourself feel better?

Wooden mallet, same as usual - just tap it in... went in as normal with hardly any effort, except the ******* thing cracked. Probably damage from when I dropped it out of the car before - was never intending to re-use it then though.

Hopefully everyone's still going then?

I've PM'd Jam172 as well, the poor guy's inbox is gonna have indigesion... a bit like Munky after his "Spook Burger".

Come on guys and girls. All Zoners welcome regardless of car, plenty of carparks around the castle for non BMWs, in sight of the photo area.

I suggest an E30 only photosession first, then add the other BMWs, be it E3, E28 or whatever for a 'part two' shoot.
Don't want anyone upset by this meet, the purpose is to have an enjoyable afternoon and remember Malcolm.

Anyone with any queries, feel free to PM me, and I'll sort out what I can.
Cheers all, hope to see EVERYONE on Sunday.

I have good news, the s4 is back working again. Suspension dramas over. I should really have replaced one of the locking nut though, lets hope it stays on  As its now been re-iterated a few times other zoners cars are allowed, we'll just park down the road. I am feeling the need for a burger already.

Apologies to anyone I upset with the comment about leaving cars at the burger van.
My thoughts at the time were that anyone not in a BMW might like to be in one for the cruise to the castle.
Wasn't thinking clearly enough about the risks of leaving the cars up there.
There will be more than enough adequate parking for non-BMWs just out of camera sight at the castle... Non E30 BMWs can join in with the photos, we'll just get some E30 only ones first.
Hope everyone's happy with this and any misunderstanding regarding people not being welcome or leaving cars at the burger van have been cleared up.
Again, sorry if I offended anyone.

Ziggy, no problem with meeting up mate, just let me know where.
Don't worry about your caddy being too slow, as you say I have an M40 auto... and Colin's just rebuilt his engine and is still running it in, so won't be a race.

I think you should buy me a burger as you offended me gordon :)

Only kidding, it was a nice thought offering the lift, didn't offend me in the slightest. I can see how it got confused as typed words can't convey what you actually want it too if you were actually speaking to someone.

Ziggy bring the caddy I want to sample the smell of the chip fatter.

 Blimey, didn't realise i would be missed :o:

Well Suchy, Munky and others my inbox is jammed, i have been in a meeting all all afternoon so had no idea.

Spoke to E30 Steve on the way home and it is official, i have stopped sulking now  and will meet Steve at polegate at 11.30am on Sunday as planned.

I have got the letter from English Heritage with me that gives us permission to take photos, this letter states that we have a slot booked between 2.30-4.00pm and is addressed to David Thomas.

Anyway, i have picked up all my toys and put them back in the pram  still not sure if it will be the E3 or E28 but one things for sure it won't be an E30 as i don't have one.............yet winkeye
