Sorry for not getting more details but been on hols etc...

Ian's been back onto Vsport for descriptions of what we get for our money:-

Basic run is £35 and you will get power and torque (at flywheel) graphs. Gives a good indication of how the engine is running and can show up any possible problems that may not be apparent under normal driving conditions.

Full run is £45 and you will get the same as the basic run plus air/fuel ratio graph and a boost graph (if the car is turbocharged). This is an ideal option for modified engines and can also show where more power can be made and what future mods will compliment the current setup.

Prices quoted depend on the number of cars that turn up.

To get the maximum number of cars in, they have asked for no FWD cars as this means wasting time changing the equipment.

The local guys are meeting at the Lakeside at 1000, which is here:-

Easy way to get to the Lakeside:-

Coming north on the A1m, filter right at junction 65 onto A194M, which ends at a roundabout after a couple of miles. Go straight on under the fly-over at the roundabout onto the A194. Just past the roundabout is a Shell garage incase you need VPower. After a couple of hundred yards is another roundabout. Turn right here and follow road another couple of hundred yards to the Lakeside.

If you get lost my number is 07801 905566

oh now i was running my 1.8 on standard fuel but the 325i on v-power or what ever they call it now?

should i start runniong the vpower in the 335 if it gets done????????? if it helps then yes i will!

expensive stuff though and there is a debate if it actually works in old cars......i think it does.

Ric, I always use Vpower in the M3 and so don't notice the difference until I have to use something else and then I understand. Was on Skye a couple of weeks back and ordinary unleaded was like running with a flat tyre, if that makes sense! Takes a couple of top-ups to get it back to how it was.

Had the garage on today about the 2.7. It runs! Will be ready on Monday, only the none-working speedo to sort, can't wait.

The V-Power makes no difference to the Six so don't bother. Think it's because the compression is set up for crap petrol. Getting it chipped & using V-Power might make a difference. Put it on your To-Check list :D

Mick, IT LIVES!!!

About bloody time too.

Thinking about it, you may have to use a later instrument cluster to be compatible with the later Motronic. Sure some other Zoners could confirm/deny this.

You're probably wishing you'd gone the whole hog & dropped an M30 in!

All being well, I should have my Cab by next Friday.

i feel bad though as Andy wasnt there to hear its first breath.

as for the V-power, i still plan to use it as i will be putting my chip in it before the rolling road winkeye

thing is i still have a 1/4 of atnk of standard fuel in the tank but i dont think that will last long :burn:

once thats gone i will put the chip in and get the V-power running too.

Andy, got it on Saturday all fine so far apart from the engine mount bolts only JUST on thread. (Thanks for the advice Chris). Didn't want an M30, was always going to be M20.

Goes like stink in any gear. Already decided I need better wheels and tyres (no Ric, I'm not putting on bottletops with remoulds), loads of problems on roundabouts etc. :D

Passed third Corsa 1.2 tonight - they were passing me before the swap.
