Hmmm, I can have as much unpaid holiday as i like, i can even have a week off sick and not get paid for it, Bonus!

Haven't so much as checked the oil in the beast, let alone serviced it! with 186k on the clock & a knackered dizzy cap (Original...) i'd be lucky to see 100BHP

I do know what it's like mate, I did years of contracting, admittedly agencies now give you 20 days hols, but by the time you take bank holidays into account, and Christmas closedowns, there's only a few days left. Then there's the gaps between contracts, lack of sick pay etc etc etc, it ain't that wonderful.
This weekend should see 112k on mine, though it runs well enough. Maybe the rolling road boys will sort my lumpy tickover... :D

Hi

Pse add my name to the list as I am told RR would be a good idea - but I probably can't get to it till about 12.30. Is that OK, or too late?

I won't feel so pathetic in comparison if there's one with similar output to mine, even if you do beat me. :o:
You know you want to. You'll know just HOW much better the bigger engine is when you get it in then too. 8)
Check with the RR guys first, but normally autos are a no no. You can't get decent figures from them for some reason.

Sorry guys been on holiday and working lots to make up for time off!

Everything is still in place, but we need 15 cars to run. This is a problem for me as I probably won't have my car on the road by then, but will obviously still come along - I'd run my current car but it's really not worth it

Can everyone please reply and confirm if they can/cannot come to this.

Cheers

I could put my Caddy on the rollers - but on second thoughts I'd best not break something with my 52 knackered horses. I'd hope the E30'll be fixed by then, but I'm not going to know about that until the weekend when I have a proper look at it. I was looking forward to this - hope there's enough to make it worthwhile still...

Should be up for the meet, putting the s4 on isn't wise as I know what it produced last time, nothing has changed and it'll be for sale soon. Looks like it might just be a meet?

I'm happy to put mine up - as long as Autos are acceptable to the RR guys...

Go on Mark, lets compare the M40 Autos... A beer at the Avon Causeway afterwards on it...?

So is this going to happen then? We had more names than this earlier on the thread...

1. Jim
2. Eko - Show me the rollers
3. Ziggy
4. Henrym3
5. Jon_Bmw(no rollers, once is once to much for my car)
6. ivqii (Richard ) - rollers ?? on a Baur?? look a bit girlie wouldn't it?
7. Munky (possibly on the rollers if my car is running ok by then)
8. March109 - how could I not when its 5minutes away?
9. randomdave325 - (more than i usually pay but get it on the rolling road init!)
10. gortour - Will I be too embarassed if I put mine on the RR?

Are all or any of these going to run? I can add an E36 325TDS to the list, and maybe a Sport or two...
Come on guys, I'm dying to find out what my turd can do...

Cool well if it's just a meet then that's still fine with me :)

I will give the garage a call on Monday see what the deal is with autos etc and will post up ASAP afterwards OK gents.

If they shove a probe up its arse( ooo er :gay: ) and make sure the inlet temperatures are not getting too high i'll run mine to make up the numbers if required. Yes slightly anal but I do not need it blowing up on me. Will only put it on if you need X number of cars to make the rolling road happen. Gordon, seeing what I can do about the Malcolm meet too. :thumb:

@Jimbob, thanks for that, I'm sure autos will be fine, but just have reservations after Gareth's comments. If they're happy, so am I.

@Jon, Look forward to seeing you at Malc's Memorial meet mate, more the better. Give the guy a good turnout.

@Ziggy, I'm too fat to run. Let me know where you're running to, and I'll meet you there in the car... winkeye

So guys, how many actual RR attendees do we actually have? Maybe we need two lists, for meet only or RR...

Meet Only... :gay:
1. ivqii
2.

Meet and the Rolling Road... :thumb:
1. Jim
2. Eko - Show me the rollers
3. Ziggy
4. Henrym3
5. Jon_Bmw(now braving the rollers)
6. Munky (possibly on the rollers if my car is running ok by then)
7. March109 - how could I not when its 5minutes away?
8. randomdave325 - (more than i usually pay but get it on the rolling road init!)
9. gortour (I'm prepared to embarass myself with the 318 auto, so come on...)

Come on guys, a few more needed on the second list to make this a goer.
Jim's put the effort in to set this up, lets give him some support.

By the looks of it Jon, we ARE desperate for the numbers...

If Jim and Eko are unable to run too, we're even WORSE off... 50% down by my reckoning.

Sorry if I misinterpreted your posting. See you on the 15th.

Nice to see you again Andy, I owe you money too, mate. Don't let me forget.

Shame you're bringing a 5 - when will your E30 be running again?

Jon, don't worry mate, I took it in jest - something to do with being called a monkey gave the game away... :D

Nothing wrong with the 5 mate, just that it's an E30 meet. No worries, you're welcome anyway.
If you want to meet up somewhere en route, you can follow the convoy.

(not intending to leave the country unless I win the lottery - the tax man ensures I can't afford to... And if I win the lottery, I won't worry about paying you a few quid before I go. May even give you more in those circumstances...)

The minimum number of cars is 10 to keep the cost to £35 a run, otherwise it's £40 per run.

Seeing as there is currently only 2 or 3 cars able to run it seems a bit unnecessary really. I'm also in a bit of a position, I've got back to work today to find one of the lads has a stag-do which is happening over the course of this entire weekend which leaves me in a bit of a situation!!

I think we've been fighting a cause with this one chaps

if you want to relocate this meet to my work i can do power runs for £20 a hit regardless of how many there are.
tbh my car will be finished but won't be road legal as i've spent all my money on fast bits for it and forgot about tax, insurance etc.
i'm off to glade at the end of the month but can do the weekend before if you like.
just an idea :thumb:

May I suggest we postpone rather than cancel, in the hopes that a few more will be ready.

Maybe same time next month, with Gaydon on the 5th, and SantaPod in September, it would need to be somewhere in the middle...

How many would we have for the RR if this happens?

Definately up for Gaydon, Jackie, but won't be showing as I'm not a BMWCC member.
Lisa, Paul and I will probably come up in one car, and park in the public carpark.

Only a couple of days left to this meet, so a bit late to try pulling it back in.
Is anyone still up for a meet? Even that side of this meet seems to have gone quiet.
Where is everybody?
