As I said earlier, I'll be at the J25 Murco station, from 9am leaving at 9:15am if anyone else is coming from that direction.

Wait....we have to clean our cars? :P

I've got two options...drive through Bristol or hit the M5...8 more miles via the M5 but it should be an easier drive I suppose and should avoid most of the traffic on the smaller roads.

Might see some others like maggspower on the M5 if he goes that way too but I'll be heading straight there, no meeting up beforehand. :)

Matt, you have two cars, how can neither of them be usable for a meet at the weekend? :P

i know right

red 2 door needs tax and mot, convertible needs tax and preferably front shocks and springs, oil cooler as leaking and one wheel is odd, :( it is driveable but not ideal.

Matt, you can get shot of the oil cooler altogether - you can use the filter screw from a B20. The cooler isn't really needed with modern oils.
I ran my B25 without a cooler with no worries - I might have a filter screw on my old M20 I could bring up on Sunday.

I also ran my old touring with the B25 on 45mm struts and 4 pot lowering springs for a couple years - no issues other than it being a bit bouncy.

try running a 2.5 on 1.8 lowering springs, originally 40mm lower now about 80, due to the extra weight, need to get it sorted asap. Not ideal really, every bump in the road is back shattering as no flex at all in the springs and 40 profile tyres, i will probably drive the beat up cabby and just take it easy on the motorway.unless the red one is motd by then, as at the moment it actually drives better and nice to cruise in a auto.

if you can bring a blocker for oil cooler that would be ideal, that's what i have at the moment, but still leaking even after putting loads of ptfe tape back on and tightening it loads.

ill be there somehow, preferably in a legal fashion.

Yup, my touring was that low with the 1.8, then I fitted the 2.5. It was originally a 60mm drop when I got it as a 1.8!
I forgot you've got 17s, mine was on 55 profile tyres with a bit more give.

It's not a blocker, it replaces the complete oil cooler take off so the oil filter screws directly to the block.
I'm sure I've got a spare one, I'll dig it out for Sunday 8)

Ideal thanks mate. I'll be there hopefully with a odd wheel dodgy springs and a leaking oil cooler.

tax just paid for, just need to fit oil cooler, 14 inch bbs's rather than driving with one mismatched wheel, dont like 14's though, too small. Then put the front and rear fixing on the pods/skirts. Job done. Hope its all sorted for sunday otherwise I'll be coming in a v.w :(
