It's 22 men split into two teams on an acre of grass which is split into two rectangles with a goal at each end. The objective is for each team to score more goals than the other team.

If I recall the statistics correctly it's an event which brings spikes in violent crime and domestic violence statistics for the Greater Glasgow area, bizarrely enough both teams are sponsored by Tennents.....

If that's not enough for you, you're guaranteed some sectarian singing and the wee boys who are "watching your car" whilst you're at the match are actually extorting protection money from you by agreeing not to vandalise your car if you pay them not to.

All together a throroughly unpleasant experience for your the majority of the educated masses.

I'd love to attend this, but I've just bought a new touring that I'd like to not crash.
The awful memory of the last time I tried to attend a meet is still fresh in my mind!
BTW I'm looking to get my bent front valance removed and a shiney new one put in it's place. Anyone out there recommend someone who's done this before and who wouldn't charge me my left bollo*k for a fairly simple mechano job (if you have the tools and a lift)??

Front valance fitting is a really simple job, it's only nuts and bolts at the end of the day. Stick it on axle stands and remove the wheels to improve access to the wheel wells and you're good to go.

My E30 bodywork guy, who was in Leith, has now relocated to somewhere near Dalkeith. I'm sure he'd fit your valance for you. Drop me a pm if you want his number.

What's with all this four pot nonsense ?

Cone along on Sunday, fling it in the boot and I'll lend Colin the tools to do it. You can operate the stopwatch.
