Suggest a date and we can go from there!Morat wrote:August!!
What did attendees feel about Squires? Is there enough 'plus points' to outwiegh the 'greasy spoon and indifferent beer' problems?

Tell you what, why don't we do a meet in my home village of Terrington in August and go back to Squires for September?
The reasons are:
1. Top beer (brewed on the premesis)
2. Good food, and decent prices (about £15 starter and main depending what you want)
3. The front of the pub really lends itself to viewing cars parked in the road from the picnic tables. It's hard to explain but works well.
4. The local shopkeeper is a big cheese in the classic mini scene and it would drive him nuts
It is quite a way from squires, so I guess it wouldn't suit some people.....unless you want a longer drive out.
Oh, and the pub closes when the last man leaves if its a Friday/Saturday.

No - don't call it that!! the first thing they will see is Pontefract and it will confuse the issue.
It's an entirely different parish, maybe call it Ryedale Meet, or similar
