ho well i`v got the firday and the monday of that weekend off so it will be ok start out then about 8.30 meet up with Dan on the way round 9ish up there then for about 10.30-11ish

I'll decide on the day, and I don't think the track will be open as it's only advertised as a "Meet" not track day.

On the save donington site Kedge linked to it says there will be a chance to see what repairs are needed to the track to make it usable again. It also says the event finishes at 4pm so IMO not really worth heading up there at 2 as you'd have an hour there at best by the time you got in.

I'm gonna try to get to the toby for 12 anyway.

Hmmm... What is the distance from the cavery to donnington? Convoy might have t leave earlier? I just did a quick google search on it and it seems every forum for every car has a meet there, gonna be a BIG event...

It's 36 miles if you go up the m42 which will only take about 30-40 minutes, but its the getting into donington and getting parked up which will really add to the time.

have many of you been to Donnington if you have you will no there is litrally one road in and one road out and it is a pain in the arse to get in and out of if its busy there.

Too right, been there a few times and it is a right royal pain in the ar5e to get in and out when it's busy,

Prehaps they should get some new roads in and out, then they wouldnt have to think about saving it... We'll see what its like on the day. I'll get there for 12 though

Been to the Moto Gp there twice first time we was stuck on the car park for 5 hours the second time was 6 hours not very good for a supposed world class venue it needs to pick its game up a bit.

At the Moto GP there are 90 to 100,000 spectators though, don't think that many would be going to a car meet there. Agreed though, access is a bit poor for the BIG events. I went the touring cars last year and the queues weren't too bad, infact i don't think there was any, but then it was pissing it down all day. WSBK and MotoGP just attract huge crowds.

I think simplest way would be sticking to the meet as was, and those that want to go Donnington go there beforehand. There is already a thread for Donnington so those wanting to attend that prior to the mids meet can discuss in there.

Think it's best i know quit with my ideas and do some work

I've discussed this with Rav and he's agreed with the idea of those wanting to go Donnington do that earlier on and then all convoy down to the meet at the original time, so those planning on doing that just update Donnington thread.

Gaz, get you northern arse down and give that M3 a drive out for a change? When was the last time it went further than the end of your road?

For those wanting to attend Donnington, do so, and then head down to the Toby Carvery afterwards about 2pm onwards if you want.
Those wishing to come straight to Toby carvey at a suitable time for yourselves.
