Guy

I've got the forms, printed, completed and with a cheque all documents on their way to you. There are two of us confirmed for now. Could even be three by next week.

Ferry will be booked this weekend.

Sunblock

@ Herman - check your PMs dude.

@ Cotty et al.

Cotty forgot comfortable fold up chairs. These are cheap but break easily. Worth bringing 2 so you have a spare and try and get ones that come in a bag with a carrying strap then you can take it everywhere with you. Last year we pretty much broke every chair we had and were on the ground by Sunday night. Well worth getting a £10 gazebo from Argos for shelter in case of rain and also the sun. Maybe a few of you could club together and buy a small party marquee for all of you. They are only about £100 from argos IIRC. Your tents get so hot inside during the day that you won't want to go anywhere near the insides.

Another good idea is a few solar showers. Again, these are about a tenner from all good camping shops. Basically, a 20L plastic bag which you fill with water and leave in the sun with the black side facing upwards. Then, hoist it from a tree and enjoy a warm shower. Beats queueing for the main campsite facilities at busy times.

Also - the last 4 years have been blazing. We had 38 degrees on camp in 2005! I found last year that a stash of talcum power came in useful for drying up the old betty swollocks making all the walking far more pleasent with no chafing if you get my drift.

Last time I went to Le Mans 2 years ago, the French police had radar traps on all roads leading to Le mans.
You may say if I get caught 'so what' pay the fine and off I go.
But if you are 30% over the speed limit.

INSANT BAN and a big fine, you have to get soneone to drive your car. After they have taken you to a cash point.

Will remind you closer to the day

I know Herman. Happened to me last year! Was 50kph over the limit. Driven to the cashpoint by Monsieur Le Plod. At 50kph over the limit which pissed me off a bit. Instant ban, ┚¬130 fine. FYI, copper told me the ban level is 172kph. Booking forms have been sent to you btw.

I have got acouple of camping stools that come in a bag with carring strap but I might invest in a couple of chairs with backs. The stools are indistructable though

Cheques in the post Guy, lets have a list of confirmed zoners then chaps!

Got a back up car incase mine isn't ready, will it cost me to change that in the booking or doesn't it matter? I know it'll cost me on the ferry but booked that quick to make sure i was on it!

The car in question is this beast :cool: ;

Now sporting chrome side pipes and flames across the whole front end, won't need a tent with the back on either but it'll criple me on petrol 8)

I was thinking of taking lots of toilet rolls and charging 10p a sheet but the storage idea would work as well

:teehee:

Edit: they probably have larger boots

Guy

I was with a m8 and we got stopped not for speeding but the plod said can you drive a car to le mans. We turned left at the roundabout and there were 25 cars all brits all bannned. The blokes car I drove had been waiting 4 hours.

Two miles down the road he was saying Ican drive now. But the plod had taken my licence details. Did another 20 clicks and got in with my m8.

Could see the cops pulling him in just before le mans
