Sorry mate I didn't realise you missed the hog roast discussion on Saturday.Yes I have cooked whole pigs many times .. I built my own hog roast machine from scratch for my brothers wedding a couple of years ago .. it's nothing fancy but works really well and I will cook on wood and brikettes so will taste much better than any gas machine they hire out these day's.I'm camping for the Santa Pod weekend so will have all day to cook.If we stick to something under 45 / 50 kg's it shouldn't take longer than 8/10 hours.I might have sorted a small generator already , there is a bloke on fleabay selling one cheap and I have been after one for a while. Might need to pick it up from Stafford when I get back from Holiday ..

I just checked with the bloke who I got a pig from last year and he has 15kg's suckling pig's for around £ 120 +- £ 30 for wood and other fuel etc .. £ 5 - £ 10 each if we can get 15 - 30 people minimum ... if we can get the same size pig for a better price then the price comes down ..
