I'm sure there are some services down there, I can do a 'recci' run down there and pick the best one nearer the time, if the vote goes to meeting on the M20 towards Dover. Whatever is easiest for everyone else really. ?

Martin.

Further down the M20 maybe better as it'll save some of us backtracking, not that that's too much of a problem.

Seems the obvious thing to do to me anyway.

I have just booked the ferry for the same departure date as you guys but a different return date, as me and the other half are going to stay a few extra days till the 21st iirc.

The red dots are zoners rough locations i think:

Image

As you can see Martin is the last in the line, so I suggest that we meet somewhere near him. Top effort from Kedge, adam and his dad, they have got some serious milage to do. Although i expect by the time me and ziggy reach the motorway after dicking around on "A roads" you'll have overtaken us!

All i'm hoping for is my university not to screw me over and give me an exam between the 14th and the 21st. The useless bastards can't tell me my timetable till march! :x

Dudes.

There is a great place at Dover to meet. Atop the cliff looking down on the port.

So, you will leave the M20 at the end (J13) and the road becomes a dual carriageway the A20. You will be approaching Dover down a long hill and as you hit the town you will arrive at a roundabout. This is characterised by a company called Megger ahead and to the left. Take the FIRST exit on this roundabout signposted Western Heights (see —a easy) and then the first right into South Military Road. Ignore the â€ËaMegger Ltd, Private Property' signs (which spooked me), follow this road no more than Âa mile up the hill and you will spot this little car park on the right….

Here's a look at a possible design for the graphics logos:

If doing some like I suggested before does work out, how 'bout something encorporating the map of the circuit? Yaknow, like the Nurburgring ones? :)

Race ya then :P , at that time of the morning i think it takes a little over an hour to get to the M25 from mine, gonna allow 3 hours for the 200 miles i think!

John. loving the idea for incorporating the circuit in the sticker design! 8)

Guys idea for the meetng place sounds like a good planas well! 8)

A challenge :D Just looked on aa route planner, 2.30 hours from southampton and 2.50 hours from salisbury. Last year I did it in some french clutter and seem to remember it taking about 3 hours from southampton, although we did stop, suprisingly not to fix the shed! :o

Here's another variant on the logo. Don't think it will change much now but I think it looks pretty smart. Will be cut to shape as well plus you will all have door numbers and the viper stripes.

Guy that is cool, looks rather nice. How long are the viper stripes, as the audi has quite a lot of car to cover. Maybe 4 metres? I'll have to borrow a rag tops cut offs.

John, Will almost definatly be setting off from Southampton so we can meet at the bottom of the m3 or the early parts of the m27(think there is a little service station just before the m3, in fact i know there is).

The first service station once on the m25 for us is between jnction 5 and 6, which is quite away along, unless the westerners and northerns just pulled off at an alloted junction and just waited somewhere?

Does that make 10 zoners?

Sweet.

For timings guys I reckon you just all head for that car park in dover and aim to arrive between x and y time. Remember you need to be ready to check in for the ferry an hour before which I think is 7am for most of you therefore you should meet atop the cliff from say 6.00 - 6.45 and then scoot down to the ferry. Then at least you are there. You don't really need to convoy to Dover. It;s the French leg that is the best anyway! You'll enjoy a hearty full english on the norfolk line then it's hell for leather the other side. Just don't get caught at over 172 kph or you will be instantly banned from driving in France as I was last year. :o: :x

Stripes = 5m each. 2 sets of numbers - one for each door. I will also give you the details of our graphics man who does flags and names for your rear quarters for about £3 each. I'm getting him to run off a set for me now which I shall fit to my 'new' e36M3 evo that I might be buying at the weekend then I can post up the graphics in all their glory.

Silver stripes might be a problem Adam. You might have to go white as since I put the booking form together I have been in contact with a different supplier that can do the digital printing as per the logo for a seriously good price. The previous fellow would not have been able to provide a logo like the one above. Problem is, our new man won't do metallic colours. It's also costing £25 plus VAT instead of inclusive so in the spirit of being a decent fellow to all you lot, I am absorbing the extra VAT cost. You may all buy me a beer in June.

There are going to be loads of you on that Thursday morning ferry so look out for all the other cars wearing our colours and introduce yourselves for an awesome convoy. If some of you could get your passengers to take pictures of the group on the way down that would be really really useful to me and will be up on my future website etc.
