Not finalised yet, I'm only the guy with the venue, Gortour is arranging the actual meet so I'm sure he will read this and respond. Should be midday-ish though if the guys want a tour of the barns in daylight.

Well, it's a parking lot for a very reputable classic car restoration business owned by a mate, along with a service station shop and car sales lot. So the parking is private and has very nice views over fields as it's in the middle of the countryside. There is a pub across the road in the Hopcroft Holt Hotel, and we now have a cabin on the parking to get out of crap weather, I'll take some new pics this weekend.
The services sell booze if anyone wants as well as all the usual bits and pieces. There are a few car washes about as well for those who like to keep their pride and joy looking smart.
I can arrange for the curry to be there at around 1.00pm as (depending on the expected turnout) I might have to get a fire going too. I will also be making traditional South African Pap (a mielie meal dish) for those who are daring enough to try it. It goes really well with curry, and with anything we might throw on the BBQ.

As Rob says, the pub is the Hopcroft Holt Hotel......though the venue is directly opposite on postcode OX25 5QQ.

New member here and will hopefully be there for this meet. Just to confirm after reading all the posts, this meet is on the 21st dec at ? time near Oxford . Be good to meet up with you all and maybe get some input on my '89 cabrio, resto advice .

In total, including the cost of buying the car in the first place, over or damn close I would think by now.

IIRC it was £60K for the car, add 60K for the bodywork and another 10 for the motor and the running gear is still in progress too.....Big AP braking system etc. Guys not gonna get much change from £130k. But then I've seen guys spend £70K on a 20K GRP Ferrari before and even worse than that too.

Pity they don't know anything about E30/E24/E28 etc hey!

No worries, can all convoy up there, can do meet ups at Poulner Services, Rownhams Services and Winchester Services. Can even meet up on the A34 if needed if people know where.
