any good at welding an inner rear arch mate as mine is a bit non exsistant lol,

i could do with gettin ma bodykit stripped off to asses the rust, also need to get it running better. so if you up for it at some point it would be appreciated.

you would need to strip that back to see where the rust stops and the decent metel starts to get an idea of how much welding is involved in it but it is easily done though if a bit time consuming.

i dont mind doing welding for anybody its no problem.

the inner arch is a bit easier to do as it dosent need to be as pretty as the outer bodywork does winkeye

doing the full rear quarter isnt something to take lightly as its a bit tricky to do and get the old one off without damaging anything else underneath.

Wullie, i'm waiting on a lower arch/quarter repair panel, the rust look's/feel's like it stop's just about 20mm along under the paint, ive had the rear inside trim out and it does'nt affect the rear inner arch, look's like a section of about 3" could be ground off and a section cut from the repair panel, peiced back in?

all going to plan, it should be mot'd this month and i'll beable to use it for the meet in feb? 8)

Had a look at a thread a while back on replacing rear quarter parts, didnt look too hard to do, same as with most jobs though, 80% of the work is in the measuring and prepping of the job ! dont have this problem with mine anymore, i cut all my arches off and welded the rear outers and inners together again further up then sealed and waxoiled :D

I may have some welding to do in a few weeks (when my roll cage arrives), I'm trying to get a friend (who's a welder) to do a homer, if that doesn't work out I'll be looking for an alternative. If so, I'll give you a shout.
