If we can get enough people there we can all get together for a meet but if not we can just get together and watch the drifting. its always good to watch.

its from 10am till 4pm so come along.

mint!!!

drift practice is always good  lots of e30's actually! there was a very enthusiastic young lad with a 316i touring. he had a welded dif and really nailed it into corners - just shows power is not that essential but to hold longer drifts he needs more power.

318i 4 door in white and 1 in black. not doing bad but could do with more power so they could be less aggressive when entering teh corners. looked like great fun though!

i had a passenger ride in my mates 200sx which was ummmm scary 8O i like going sideways but doing 2 full laps 100% sideways (even on the straights) was entertaining! and he knew the track well which is useful as its very twisty.
plenty of space though. you dont need a bigger track its perfect for it.

time to get the 335 going i think  think i may buy a lsd 1st?

nice

is there any more meets do you know?

the s50 should be out soon winkeye she might look a slaaag but i think she'l have enough power for practising those corners!!!

iv been a few times to watch the jap stuff drifting down there, but watching isnt good enough?

what sort of price is it to have a go?

theres nothing that happens up here meet wise. :(

it makes a nice change having somthing on the doorstep (even though i missed it  )

the nearest we have to anything is Croft circuit once in a blue moon, teeside and over an hours drive to york dragstrip for RWYB

come to think of it,we dont do that bad :o:

Just found this thread. Who was up there then? That was me in the touring. I didnt realise there were this many drifters on here. I got the impression you were all concourse type of people.

Scrap the lsd man, get a welder in like a 6th of the price and you know where you stand with it.

1an, there is no way on earth you can compare santa pod to teeside. One of, if not the best drift track in the uk. Plus dave(the owner/partner) is a drifter himself so is so enthusiastic its unreal.

I think there nearly there everymonth. Really is worth the 2 hour trip up there each time.

There normally £45. Which for 6 hours, and two tracks, open track system, is tip top.

jim i said hello to you on the volvo forum (sorry all :o: )

its a great day and really worth the trip! i would say get to as many as you can as there are not many places that do the drifting.

im willing to drive from manc back to the home town to see this stuff. i should be joining in the fun soon  but watching is great as you generally can just go to anyone and start talking crap with them.

there was a few e30's there even jimthejuior in his 316i tourer have some great drifts in that   8)

cuzz1510 - get yourself with the bmw north east people!!! baur320 runs it and they are all good people during the summer there are some good road trips and every month there is a meet! i miss the group.

Its not once in a blue moon.. it's twice a season.. and maybe thrice if I can squeeze us in early this year. I had more Zoners than ever at both of the 2007 trackdays.
