just a suggestion at this stage really.

does anyone know if a proper skidpan that can be hired for the day? i think this would be a real giggle and a lot of use could learn a lot from the day. especially those who are more responsible and don't practice on the roads (myself included obviously... winkeye )

all comments and feedback welcome!

you could try thruxton as they have a skid pan loads of the people round here (ANDOVER/SALISBURY) use a place called bulford as has a old parade ground out of the camp and you can have a bit of a play there the e36 boys go every other month sort of thing and the pub is also only 2 mins down the road with good grub!!!

just a thought :)

I went on one at Essex Police HQ in Chelmsford, was about 24years ago in my MG, was a good laugh, We had a police driving instructor in with us. I think they usually only accept booking from car clubs etc.

Ideal for rust protection, as the underneath gets completely covered in a thick black gunge !!

Been there done that! Had a few hours on the pan at Chelmsford about 15 years ago, had a 323i at the time :D

Chap i used to work with was a special constable and pulled in a favour, all we had to pay was a donation to the 'Police fund'...

Any Special's on here? maybe worth phoning around the Police training sites to see if they offer this.

When I was about 18, we went to a huge tarmac square in the middle of Salisbury plain. Jesus may know where it is. Not a million miles away from Amesbury and Boscombe Down, Wiltshire.
