Are there any members in East Sussex, Hastings, Eastbourne areas that get together. If not would anyone like to give it a try, have a chat, exchange ideas, put the world to rights; you know the sort of thing.
I might be up for it depending on where and when.
I'm near Gatwick but used to work in Hailsham so it no big deal to drive down.

anything happening with this? fancy setting a date? location?

it all depends on what everyone wants to do, evening meet ? weekend morning or an afternoon ? grab a pint or a burger and mikshake ?
I don't know any locations in Haywards Heath but was thinking along the lines of the McD's in Burgess Hill, they have a large pay and display car park next to it. The only fly in the ointment is, there is a security gate across the entrance/exit so if it's an evening gtg I don't know what time you've got to be out of the P&D.
Anyway, there's one suggestion, anyone else ?

I'm still about matey but I gave up organising meets because people very rarely turned up. I'd be lucky to make it to one now without something else dropping off my touringSteve-E30 wrote:Whatever happened to shane , He used to sort the brighton meets

how about Burgess hill? it's a bit more car-parky IMO.. there's a big Halfords car park that's lit at night and easy to find! or Maccy D's? then we can get some grub etc.. unless anyone can think of a pub or somewhere more interesting! maybe arrange a date in Feb? towards the end is good as it 's a bit cold and dark at the mo

nah - lets do madeira drive on the seafront of brighton. how about the kemptown end near the concord 2 nightclub? loads of parking, interesting location and not far t drive for a burger after.
shall i kick it off? midweek evening is best i reckon, or sun afternoon.

We did once have a meet running in madeira drive but it struggled for numbers, it did have the option of moving to the marina car park if it rained though, and there's a maccy D's there

yeah, i went to one on madeira drive about 4 years ago, was about 10 cars in the end..
and it is a better location than ASDA car park and we have the option of heading to the marina undercover car park and mcdonalds after anyway... no?

Why don't we go for a Sunday afternoon meet then. That way if no bugger shows up at least you've still got the rest of the afternoon to go off and do something else. So shall we test the water and see if there's interest in getting a Sussex meet going.shanetouring wrote:I'm still about matey but I gave up organising meets because people very rarely turned up.Steve-E30 wrote:Whatever happened to shane , He used to sort the brighton meets
