Nice one, I thought you would, I,m not lined up for the zone stand but let,s see what happen,s if I,m early enough -not sure how it all work,s , 1 st time for me at Gaydon

Unless you have a display pass, you'll be parking in the public external car park. Regardless of what time to turn up.

This place can turn into chaos even when everyone turns up on time. It's worsened by people getting in the display queue with no pass and then the marshalls having to stop the whole procedure to turn them around and get them back to the public car park.

Barry and I were marshalls here a couple of years ago. It's a nightmare.

Si and I will pop over to the zone area. We are in the Alpina section.
Cheers B7
thanks for the advice and the heads up :)

There were a lot of nice cars there, definitely not as big as their website made out, I managed to get round the entire collection and visit most stands in under 2 hours, the drive from Bristol and back was just as entertaining, roof down hitting the A roads.

I had a great time! Apart from the thunder storms and the tsunami at the camp site last night! :P

The show was good, and there were some stunning motors there, but as mentioned above there were a rather large contingent of "da Ali G massive"....
There were some cracking bargains there as far as spares go, really cheap. I thought Adi might have soiled himself with excitement. He was dashing round like a man possesed buying everything!
I took some snaps, so i'll post up some in the gallery section.

I was there with Dec, it was our first time at Gaydon so we didnt know what to expect.

We managed to park next to Kos's fantastic E24 and then tip toed round, some good stuff and also dreadful stuff on display :?

I met Kos, Dips, Paul - Diddler, octane junkie and another chap with a silver 318is , I also spied Trev and Si after Paul told me who you were :o:

Sorry I did'nt see you both in person, hope my sport was up to standard

I seemed to miss a lot of people I recognised cars but there was not anyone with them most of the time.

Nice to meet the people I did speak to though. :D

It does have to be said I couldn't stand to be around the zone stand too long as some of the people parked near me were playing very crap very loud music. One top class helmit even left his car runing with the music blaring and buggered off to walk round the show. :x

I don't think so, I'm off for 3 weeks in Sept and it's slap bang in the middle.

I wouldn't of minded taking the Sport down for a day out and my cars won't be up and down the strip!!

I didn't do much to it when I got there, the engine bay was dusty :o:

I wanted to show you the rocker/inlet manifold that you did, it looks good in there with all the new shiny stuff.

I was glad in the end I took the sport and not the M3, there was some fine looking M3's there but not many sports

+ 1 to all that.

yes John, some proper bargains, the best of which was the Alpina C2 fanny mould :woohoo:

had a great weekend guys. grateful thanks to Mandi, Clay, Gryff, Trudy and John for their wonderful hospitality (read: free food and drinks, good company, help with the erection of my tent, etc, etc).
i sold a few bits, bought some real bargains, topped up the tan, saw some fantastic cars, met some other good people,Trev & Si, Jay and family, Ajay, mrjonchandler, etc.
and a good look round the Heritage Centre.
then, to top it all, done a couple of circuits round the track with Jenson wannabe Adam (Turk) racing E36 M3s, E46 M3s, 135s and Z4Ms!! the look on their faces was priceless. absolutely brilliant. cheers Ad :thumb:
