It's time for the 1st Outdoor Meet of the season. A previous thread sought input on the best date and we've opted for
SUNDAY 18th APRIL
The venue is a tried and tested location
The Falkirk Wheel
http://www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk/
Start time is noon.
We meet in the first car park on the right hand side when you come from the Denny side. If you are in the top car park looking down the hill at the Wheel, you're on the wrong side and unless you fancy a Duke's of Hazard leap over the canyon (canal), you'll have to drive around the town, heading for Denny.
Newcomers are very welcome, as are the regular faces. Unlike our winter meets in Drem, there's no barbecue planned but there is hot food available nearby.
You don't have to bring an E30, but you'd better be prepared for most people talking about them !
The next post will be the list of fine fellows who've already put their name down for the 18th. Please add your name to the list below in a new post, feel free to add your car and where your travelling from.

Just a thought - why not bring the meet down to the Roam 2010 HQ? Yeah, it's in the Borders and probably stretching it a bit for some who are already travelling a fair distance to the Central belt anyway, but - discuss.........

I'm happy to consider that, equally, can the roam pop into Falkirk Wheel on it's travels that day ?grantfk10 wrote:Just a thought - why not bring the meet down to the Roam 2010 HQ? I was out washing the touring for the last time, and a silve r325 touring went by. The bloke (Justin) stopped to chat. He's from Falkirk not on the internet, but will probably pop along to the meet.
Look out for him.
Look out for him.
think ive seen that one going about Grant. sure it passed us going out of Denny the other day
would be the same one then as was heading towards Falkirk.

Stop BTTT this thread and tell us what the plan is? Do we meet at the wheel and head south or do we all just head south and meet up with the Roamers?Topblag wrote:BTTT

Nothing's changed as far as the meet is concerned, Grant is liaising with the Zone Roam folks to see if there's is a solution for a run to meet up with them. When there is, it'll be posted up. No-one is withholding information from you.Tedswagon wrote:Stop BTTT this thread and tell us what the plan is? I'm bumping this thread to try and improve the awareness of it, and the attendance.
For clarity, until you hear otherwise the plan is to meet at the Falkirk Wheel.

Ok, the plan is for the Zone Roam to head up to the Falkirk Wheel
As the majority of the Roamers are Southerners, it seemed a good idea to bring them to one of Central Scotlands biggest tourist attractions. We'll probably be leaving early so we can meet up with you guys at your agreed meet time.
After meeting up , we plan to go for a bit of a run along with you lot (no route finalised yet, but it's being looked at by the Roam Team).
Hope to see you all there.
oh, and BTTT !

Can you make sure Gareth has emptied the loadspace in his barge please, as I'll be looking to fill it with a few new pieces of his recently acquired "junk"
Cheers

I'll have a look at the map and see what I can come up with, although from Falkirk,I already know a fairly decent route where a well known silver 316i tourer has a tendency to put larger engined chariots in there place320Touring wrote:

You should know that nice route with the single track where we cooked some pimp daddy/drug dealer Jag's brakes Neil.
