Hey! Get this....I just found out that the gauges and the tail lamp I have had for a while are from a 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost! How cool is that! 8) I was going to stick them in a wood and copper pipe arrangment as a conversation piece.

Sorry 'bout that....back on topic. :o:

SO... if I'm right (and I'm probably not) it's Magpie and Adi and red05 at Rownhams, Paul and Jess at Eastleigh, and no-one joining now at the A34.

That right?

Looks ok up here, bit cloudy, but not cold. Only 0.1mm rain forecast for much later. Might be a bit of a breeze.

Hi guys,

Well I'm really happy that most of you could make it and I hope you all had a good time, sorry for the kids but the DVD machine was playing up, but at least the tv was ok.
Hope you enjoyed the food and a big thanks to Rich and his missus for their input, thanks buddy.

I would like to know what you guys think of a twice yearly event along the same lines but with a run up to Burford on fantastic roads included.

Could maybe even do a swap shop thing as part of the event?

Anyway, hope you all got back safe and sound. :D

Later....

Regards

Rob

Thanks to Rob, the guy who's land it is and anyone else who helped! I arrived a little late, and left a little early (lazy morning, busy afternoon!), but it was good to chat to everyone who was there!

Only got 1 'its got too many doors' from Magpie while I was there too, I'm impressed ;)

And Dave, the car really does look great! Nice one, 3 days hard work definitely paid off.

Hi,

I'm Amos.....the guy who turned up in the below:
Image

Thank you very much for letting me encroach on your meet and see some quality E30s. The American cars and old Jags and CSL were totally cool and you'd just feel like JR out of Dallas in them.

The Durban curry was spot on, apart from nearly choking on it.....lol. Unfortunately every time i visited the BBQ there were no ribs left.....but hey ho.....you snooze you loose.

Thanks to Griff aka Red05 for inviting me along.

What a good day.

Thanks again

As said above, many MANY thanks to Rob - and your wife, Rob - for organising a fabulous day. Richard and Elaine, top marks to you both too, excellent food, curry, sausages and ribs, a real quality day. Even the Mrs wasn't bored... :D

Wonderful trip to the barns, thanks again to Rob for this, and many thanks also to the barn owner for allowing Rob to take us in there.

An excellent day out, perfectly organised, enjoyed by all. Only slight disappointment was the turnout, but maybe next time when the losers see what they missed...

Thanks again. Will get some pics up asap.

Cheers all. :thumb:

Great day, cheers to rob and his partner for sorting the day out and the curry. Thanks to Astonkiller and his beloved for the BBQ and some comedy. :)

Nice to meet up with some new faces and see the usual dogey suspects. 8O Papercutouts car is officially the most obnoxious thing in the world. Its louder than my 205, fair play

Sorry to those who didn't get the ribs, I can't imagine who ate all them :o:

A great day out, really well organised and a good venue - very easy to find.

I would go for a summer meet there no problem and a swap meet would be great.

Thanks to Rob and all involved.
