Hi Lance, got your PM, sorry, was still thinking about the response.

I would suggest either the Saturday 20th or Sunday 21st. Though it's possible to make it the weekend before if people think it's too close to Christmas. I'm up for maximum attendance, so what do people want?

Guys and Girls, Lance has suggested a barbecue, this will obviously depend on weather, otherwise the pub opposite would be able to sort something hopefully. If we have the size of meet I'm hoping for, they could struggle though.
Maybe bring food that can be eaten hot or cold?

The resto shop and barns are well worth a look from what I saw from the last meet.

So lets get names on the list and a decision on what weekend people prefer.
Cheers, and many thanks to Rob.

I can arrange a bit of catering if required, if the weather is going to be crap...I do a mean South African curry, easy to do enough for about 30 people only though. But with a big umbrella (which I have) anything can be done on a bbq!
The hotel ain't cheap, though they might be interested in catering to us off site, Of course there is the question of how much would people pay for a quick meal?
If everyone wanted to bring their own and use whatever facilities are available that's fine and as I said my place is down the road, so maybe stuff could be prepared or made there.

It's a bit of a trek for me but I'm temped, it'll make up for my general lack of attendance at meets this year.

Rob, that's a wonderful offer, and under control regardless of weather too... You're a hero mate. Thank you. :thumb:

Sort out a cost to yourself for all this, I'm sure folks would be prepared to pay a few quid each if they get fed, any leftovers can go to charity. (Maybe Nat Perry's fund? I'm sure most of us have seen poor Daryll's thread.)
Any help you need, let me know. Can bring a Zone gazebo if helpful? (9x3 metres)

Date wise, shall we say 21st then, the Sunday? Is this too close to Christmas for a good turnout, would the 14th be better people? Input please.

O/T, Not sure what you said Richard, but then I don't drive an Aston... winkeye

21 is cool for me and the gazebo would be a good idea. I really don't mind BBQing in the winter...I do it all the time. So if the guys want I can do a huge pot of curry and rice or bread, and have a fire going for chops and chicken. If you can give me an idea (closer to the time obviously) of the expected attendance figures then I can buy accordingly. Won't be the first time I have cooked for over 50 people, and I'm sure Richard and some of the guys won't mind helping out?
There are toilets and a car wash and all the ameneties one would expect so no-one should struggle for anything.

Looking forward to it! :D

Will be good to meet you Lance, I missed out last time, looking forward to the classic car sheds too.

This is going to be fabulous. Sorry I can't give an idea of numbers, we'll have to see how many put names on lists.
If you can give me an idea of cost, as said, we'll make sure you're reimbursed for all costs, and any left will go to charity mate.

Come on guys, Lance has put a lot of effort into this, lets get some names on the list please, and come and enjoy what looks like being the best meet of the year.

That's a shame Dave, do people want to move it to the weekend before? The 14th? If so, speak now, majority gets it, or 21st if noone shouts...

Hi guys, I confirmed today that we will have access to the barns, well two of them at this point, one with all the American muscle cars in it and a few choice other bits and another with a mixed bag of classics. I might still be able to get Malcolm to open up for a few hours on the day to allow access to the vintage stuff.

Can't believe the list is going up so slowly...

Come on people. Big meet, a curry and the barns full of classics and American muscle...

Surely this is one not to be missed.

Is there any way we could get this advertised a bit more do you think? Maybe get an announcement put on the 'Zone home page or an announcement in the E30 Chat forum?

Not everyone actively looks in the meets forum but might be interested if they saw it... possibly?

Mods? What think thee? 8)
