this does look tempting, 526 miles from me (inc the channel crossing) and it's only 3 hours from the nurburgring which could make a nice overnight stop winkeye

450 miles from calais:

well as i'm a free man of wealth and leisure (minus the wealth, but i have time to save up) i'm very very tempted indeed. maybe make a week of it, stopping off at the ring each time i pass! :D

Snooka, how far did you guys have to come to reach santa pod? me and steve-e30 are both within 70 miles of dover so it'll be a bit less for us than most folks. that said, there's a lot of us in london and it's an easy blast down the M20 from there.

also, sooooo much easier and cheaper on fuel to put the miles in on the continent as the roads are so much better

i'm from Brussels

I think driving to Willinborough was longer (including Londen traffic) than drivin to Eisenach (we drove a lot above 110miles)

From Dover i think you drive to France - Frankfurt (DE) to get there?

i Went from Brussels of corse and i passed really close to the ring, also thought about making a stop, i think i'll go on the Ring on friday and than stay overnight @ Syndikat

It's tempting, funds might be a bit tight, and who knows what state my car will be in by then. Would be a blast but it's going to be a case of being able to afford it and having a car that will cope with the punishment.

Bambi on speed dance or not. This'll be another trip for me next year even if it does fall on wedding anniversary weekend.
