i'll probably be a no-show again for this unless i'm lucky. i'm heading out on the 16th round france, germany, the ring, swiss alps, france and back again. do you think my car is ready for this? NO! if all goes exceptionally well, it'll be a good trip out to test things out of town but i don't want to commit myself yet

it does look a bit quiet to be honest... and i'm guilty too as usual to to my utterly reliable wagon
unless a miracle sorts my car in time
maybe calling into a few VW forums might turn up a few more numbers? in all honesty, the VW scene may be larger but the tough old skool german liking car theme is common to us and i think it could work well (in my eyes anyway). though i've yet to go there, I believe it works well at bigger / better known locations such as the Ace Cafe...
it would be a shame if we lost the night as it's a really nice meeting point, in fact the best i've been to bar the santa pod meet / show
edited due to post pub speeeeelllinghhhhh

Exactly that mate its the best place ive been to for meets and food wise but with low numbers again i think im fighting a losing battle tbhgareth wrote:it would be a shame if we lost the night as it's a really nice meeting point, in fact the best i've been to bar the santa pod meet / show
Started off great at the first meet and everyone wants it again then nobody shows
We are half way through the year and the turnout is still poor
The vw guys i believe want our night and im tempted to let them have it if they still to
Dont think i can say more than that , Its the people that make the meet and without people there is no point .
Shame as there are loads of zoners in kent and the ones from essex drive to portsmouth and guildford and this is closer .
Cheers anyway gareth

If the VW guys want that night and can also make use of it, would it not a a good idea to double up? it makes more sense than doubling up with a jap-crap club or something...
you'll have to watch cliffybabe, he'll be nicking bits off the trailer to bolt onto the chromywagon of doom if you're not careful!

I'll try and make it this time, would certainly be a shame to drop this meet as it's a great venue.

Going to have to give it another miss tonight I'm afraid; discovered serious rot in my o/s/r inner arch (fibreglass repair still drying
) and my folks get back late tonight from holiday so I'm having to guard the fort and walk the dog - sorry

Me too.
My right hand handbrake has fallen apart, I suspect a pin has pulled through the rusty backplate, and making a horrendous noise!
Have a good one, maybe next time for me.

Just replaced my pin with a bolt as it goes. While I had the wheel off, I thought I'd take a peek under the plastic guard that covers the fuel filler pipe, and wished I hadn't!

Wasn't a huge turn out 3 E30's, 1 E36 and 3 E28's (?) but it is Le Mans weekend.
Food was great
Should be some photos knocking around. I didn't take any as my camera will still not connect to my pc
