Fear not Rob ,a 'mod' has been incorporated into the front suspension so all is well ! :) I was out in the turd with Crouch yesterday, i was suprised how together the suspension felt, i thought i would need new fillings but no, its very usable.
Phil has been raiding my morsels yet again as he looks for bits to finish the jigsaw, make sure you remember me when you are counting out your shekels down at Birds ! :)

haha - Pete the Perfectionist....

You win mate - I'm swapping back the Smoked lights, adding some Sparco Corsa's (Black this time of course) and changing the rear wing

"I looked at it (a rust Iron shed he's just paid £30k for) and thought, it's so bad it MUST be good!" - Damien Hurst

I always thought he was a tosser anyway!

Imagine how much more free revving its going to be (its already fairly buzzy) with 16kg lopped off the Flywheel with that JB MOtorsports alloy one, a 5-speed box (thats about 10-15kgs lighter than the 6-speed) and some Willwood brakes to stop it...

Gotta start saving again!

After driving it for 5 days, I've realised that the Rose-jointed lower control arms are a BAD IDEA! Every SLIGHTLY rippled surface feels like a flat tyre and its just gonna Muller every other part of the car as it transmits so much to the shell of the car.... so that along with working out why the springs are catching on the spring perches when you turn the wheel - other than that, its swapping the 45 profile rears and 35 profile fronts for 40's all round and things should be rosy - it must be said, the car is WAY more refined than I ever imagined it would be, and can be driven like 2 different cars - up to 5000 rpm or on 1/4 throttle its quite quiet and very sensible, but as soon as you exceed that or stamp on the loud pedal its... err... um...

B R U T A L!

Thats the only way to describe it. I was driving to Birds on Friday and the road was damp, coming round the bend where the Atrium is i was doing about 40mph in 2nd and absolutely stamped on the throttle and the car just sat there at about 25-30 degrees sideways for about 2 seconds under full power! And when it came back there was no hint of a tank slapper moment... just such a driveable chassis - you should have seen the guy on the Yamaha R6 rider who took off from the lights - he was pretty surprised to see me next to him at 40-50 mph....

Larf a minite this car tho

See you guys at the ACE meet next week I hope

I'm glad you can finally enjoy driving the beast after all the troubles you've had with the build(s)
