Ello ello.
New member from liverpool here. Long standing lurker and been wanting an E30 since I was about 12 I think haha

Anyway. Ended up picking up a NZ imported M325i a couple weeks back. Low miles and a really well looked after car.
It’s been painted previously but looks like it was done cheap, the seals were just taped, doesn’t look like some trims were removed, drips in the paintwork behind the trims etc.
Looking to probably restomod it… OEM+ build if you will. It needs the arches doing, battery tray and some other bits and bobs of rust. Then coilovers, suspension rebuild, interior is very clean but some little bits to clean it up, redo the wiring as it’s been messed with over the years, engine refresh and probably some other bits along the way.
Underneath seems nice and clean though. Engine has had a fair bit of work done too.
Anyway, here’s some pictures. Looking forward to getting cracking with it.

Thanks.

Well done !!, interesting body kit never seen that before. Maybe one of the Antipodeans on here can shed some light in it 8)

Couple of bits of advice :D

Any 'restomod' bits you do - make sure they can be reversed if you ever want in the future.

You have to go a long way with coilovers to beat the Bilstein B12 spring/shock kit. Cheap coilovers are a waste of time and money.

Check the bodywork behind the bodykits, classic place to hide rust.

Hope you get it running well and enjoy it Chromie 325 is nice to see.

Thanks for the welcome buddy.
The car itself is a New Zealand M325i import so the kit could be unique because of that.
And yeah I will be keeping most of the bits I replace just incase. It will be getting a proper break and suspension set up won’t be done cheap that’s for sure!
Body work is rough, I’ve had a nose behind some trim
Panels and it looks like they’ve painted it and just taped up the seals/trims. So eventually a full respray and rust sort out is on the books.

Looks like a really interesting car well worth restoring. Hopefully not too much rust to uncover on it. I'd definitely keep it M20 powered. :)

Very nice, I am pretty sure that is a 'Zenda kit'

Nah, I know the rear is similar but it is not a Zender. Only reason I know is I had a Zender on mine (front is still on) when I smashed the Alpina front spoiler. The Zender one was a bit higher off the ground and made of ABS. Mine was exactly like your link except it had the early PFL brake vents.

Honesty not a clue what the kit is, but it will be getting removed for rust inspection behind the panels soon enough. So when it does I’ll keep an eye out for any markings on it and update you all with my findings!
