Hello everyone!
Just wanted to quickly introduce myself.
I am from the US, but this forum seemed like a wealth of information, so here I am. Hopefully I will one day be able to contribute! (not just leach off of the knowledge here)

I recently picked up an almost immaculate 1991 318i (US spec with M42) . Long story short, this car was at the junk yard, and when I saw it, I knew I needed to save it. It was junked by its original owner because no one was able to figure out what's wrong with this car. I made a deal with the junk yard manager and trailered my prize home.

Now, I consider myself a pretty good technician and I am no stranger to electrical troubleshooting. However, this car is giving me a run for the money, and I can't figure out what's wrong - and this is why I am here.

I will be posting my issue in the technical section in hopes someone can guide me in the right direction! Meanwhile, check out the photos!

Welcome!
While the steering wheel might be on the other side...

At least we are all on the same side here about the E30.
Lots of experts can help (present company excluded)

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Steve, I also thought it was too good for a scrap yard, now just a small problem - need to fix it :)
Here is my post in the technical section:

Maybe someone can shed some light on what's wrong.
