Just bought my first E30, a bog standard, original, unmolested and untouched by the elements (no rot!). A 316i Coupe, manual in red, 85k miles and 12 months MoT. Bought it with a misfire for £3800. Already used this forum to sort the issues, looking forward to seeing everyone's cars.

Will soon be doing an engine bay clean/restoration/major service which I'll time lapse for all you clean freaks out there.

Anyone had luck with getting seats retrimmed?

Thats the great thing about these cars, everything is mechanical enough it can be fixed with a bit of elbow grease and Zone help :) Welcome!

Now with the weather getting better I've fallen back in love with the car, and after giving it a thorough clean and some TLC it's looking even better! Unfortunately redundancy has put aside the engine swap and new suspension plans ☹️ But there are still little jobs to make the car nicer.

Anyway here's some more pics after a clean and polish.

That is a very nice car, and 30 years old that you can still get parts for. Sorry about the job loss, enjoy your "new" car. It’ll still be going when a modern day car is being scrapped cos it needs a 6k gearbox.
