Hi All
I have had an E90 335I Coupe for a while here in Tasmania, as a road car, and have been racing a Renault Megane RS265 in tarmac rally here.
I am now building a new race car on a 1984 E30 323i Coupe, for classic car competition in tarmac rally.
Plans for the car are to strip out the interior, fit a full weld in cage and race seats, fit a LSD, decent coilovers, anti roll bars and race wheels.
I will wait and see what the brakes need: just better pads or new and possibly bigger rotors.
I will also source a 2.5 engine and give that a bottom end balance, head rebuild, chip and better exhaust. The engine needs to be largely stock for classic competition, and anyway, finishing a 6 day Targa event requires good management and some discretion rather than more grunt.
I will come back with questions later!
Cheers
Al

Welcome and that sounds like an epic project! Think that might call for a build thread of some sort!

I had an e90 335i saloon once. Very fast family Q-car and ended up selling it to a guy that exported it back to NZ where a I understand they're quite rare. Still sends me updates every now and again.
