Hi, I'm working on my wife's "plain jane" 1987 325. It has been in storage for years while we were living overseas. Currently, it has 87,000 miles, and is standard shift. I've replaced the engine bolts with torque to yield, rebuilt fuel injectors, replaced fuel and transfer pumps, and just about everything else in the fuel system. Also remanufactured calipers, new rotors, and of course pads. It had an issue with hail, afterall this is Texas, and that has been expertly repaired. The car looks new with the exception of the black plastic around the bumpers.

This is her old car. Her "new" car is a 97 BMW 840 with 32,000 miles. I have a 2001 Z8 with 8,000 miles. Since this is a BMW forum I won't mention my daily driver, but if you are interested and in the know: Aufecht, Melcher, and Großaspach 63s.

welcome to the Zone as others have stated get the cambelt changed before you crank it over- they are time sensitive part and if it degrades and slips then the engine will grenade itself.

as its been standing for some time also do consider replacing the tensioner and waterpump.

oh and post some pics. :D :D
