Hello everyone! I just had a 1986 delphin metallic 325es delivered last night. This is my first E30. I'm planning on restoring to the factory delphin metallic and doing the 327i conversion. Something I noticed is there are two tow hitches under the front bumper, however the M-Tech front valances appear to either have a single cutout on the left or none at all. Does anyone happen to know the M-Tech compatibility on pre-facelift models? I read somewhere that you have to saw off the tow hitches. It appears that for M-Tech 1 I would need to saw off the right tow hitch and for M-Tech 2 I would have to saw them both off. If anyone has some insight on that that would be cool.

It looks like I found the answer to my question here. It looks like for M-Tech 1 the right towing eye is sawed off and the left one is extended.

looks like a solid base to start from.

also if your going down the 327i route there's plenty of build threads on here full of useful info & not to forget the wiki as there's a couple of pages in there on how to go about it.

looking forward to the updates.

I think I'll start a restoration thread for it wherever those go and post some more once I'm off work. I hosed it off, cleaned out all the trash, vacuumed and gutted the interior for some deeper cleaning. The car isn't running so I'm going to have some fun with it. :D
