The December COTM competition is for the much forgotten, and oft maligned sturdy beast of the 320i saloon, two or four door..........bog standard to wild and wonderful, get them coming in !!!!
(posted in Mr Clarksun's absence due to a slight disagreement with the Bolivian authorities....)
Near seasons greetings my faithful followers.
This month I write to you from the confines of my Bolivian, erm... Hotel room where I expect to spend the Christmas break at leisure with the local authorities. But that's a whole different story for another time..
So it is without further ado and with great aplomb I announce the treat for you all this month is the greatly maligned 320.
From rusty old nails to gleaming beauties, all are welcome. Mild or wild, original or modified, tasteful or council, 2 doors or four doors, auto's or manuals, Let's see what you've got. Share the M20B20 love with your internet friends and the world afar.
Considering Christmas is just around the corner, there will also be mystery runners up prize for the most tastefully decorated E30's of all flavours, M3's to Tourings, all are welcome. Christmas trees ablaze! So put your photoshop skills to good use or raid the loft for the wife's best baubles and indulge in some DIY with your significant other.
Seasons greetings

Mr. Clarksun
I'l start things off with an original car, this car is now owned by my Dad and used once a week for him to get his pension and do a bit of shopping. This an extract of a previous thread about it:
Just thought I'd get the old girl out seeing as it was a nice day. She doesn't get out much - 55,000 miles from new and completely original (expect maybe the roof ariel).
I bought her a while back and she had been stored in a barn for nearly ten years after the owner had passed away and his wife couldn't drive and couldn't bare to part with it. She left the car in her will to her friend and that was that. I felt sorry for the poor pink thing and the rest is history.
I put some new wiper blades on and she went straight through a main dealer MOT. I have since done a head rebuild as the valve guides were shot, new shocks and some new seals. All I need now is a genuine radio cassette and a new centre console to replace the eight track deck that I took out.
The best part of this car is the smell inside. It still has that 'new car smell' and the whiff of leather. It doesn't stink like a wet dog like most of my E30's!
Spec: Natural leather interior, rear blind, adjustable headlamps (which work), electric mirrors etc. Not the highest spec but she is pretty much perfect. No rust AT ALL anywhere!
It even has the original service stickers, tax disc holder and rear window sticker from the supplying dealer.

Booger! Not putting pics of mine up yet 'cause it won't be as I want it for a few months. Maybe next time, but be assured, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool b20 deviant (automatic at that) and bloody proud of it!

Yeah I like it, the colours are 'brave' but for a track car, its spot on.
