Well everyone, here's my '93 316i Lux touring once again! It obviously can't compete with the turbo-charged cabs and so forth, but every time I get a little money, I do something new. This week I added clear side indicators. I've owned her since 2004, but have only started modding her this year. She is structurally sound, has never been welded after leaving the factory, and now has just 88,000 miles on the clock!

Took this today outside a French furniture factory.

A side view; she'll look even better when she's had the suspension done.

A rear view.............

One more for luck....................

Hello fellow e30zoners.
It gives me great pleasure to say I have been allowed out of my box once again for one day only, fed me some delicious treats and given the chance to decide the fate of this months e30zone car of the month entrants.
And what a hardy task it has been! The standard of this months cars has, quite frankly, astounded me. Who would have thought that out of the much maligned M40 crowd such gems could emerge. The little fellas have surpassed themselves. No more proof could ever be asked for to demonstrate the passion and enthusiasm the e30 stirs in their owners souls.
Once again zoners, feel proud of your comrades achievements, revel in their glory and be astonished at the time, effort and love that your brethren shower upon such a meager and mocked example of the E30 breed.
As such a high standard has been shown this month I feel it is my duty to mention a few of the runners up and give credit where credit is due. In no particular order I would like to congratulate;
Shame320ii, while your name implies bigger and 'better' things, your mean and moody 318i touring stands out as a fine example, daring to break from the norm with styling touches such as the alpina splitter and cold air feed headlight. Aceraf, if it had been your car and not your brothers, I would have had a much harder time of deciding this months winner. The stance and wheels of his design edition cab are the icing on an already very appetising cake. Gortour, your incredibly clean, oem+ modified touring stands out to me as one of the best the zone has to offer. Clean original lines, superb condition (excepting temporary damage from errant tree trunks) and immaculate interior has the potential, with a little bit of work and a lot of love, to become a concours item at shows across this land. JoshuaHocking, suffice to say, for one so young you have achieved great things with your project and as a member of the much discredited and despised 'youth of today' you are a shining example to many. Commitment, taste and an eye for a true classic is something to be proud of, ond one day I'm sure you will be rewarded for this.
And so, after much rambling and with a casual brush to the side for the other entrants (all of them excellent in their own way) I move onto the man of the hour, the pillar of salt, the one and only...
ChrisP, take a bow my friend, you are the proud owner of Septembers E30zone Car of the month!
To take an e30 and grace it with forced induction is one thing, to perform such a task to a lowly M40 is enough in itself to warrant great admiration, but to have achieved this with such a superb and spotless car and not have compromised on anything makes you a very worthy recipient of this dubious honour.
A turbo installation that fits so well with the car, from the piping and turbo trickery tucked so neatly into the engine bay to the intercooler mounted in that bumper like it came from the factory deserves the respect of many.
Enjoy your time at the top, and never give up the pursuit of more power. Prove the M20 doubters wrong and keep up the good work. I have no doubt we will see bigger and better things from your bastion of small engined, big power vehicles the world over.

My pic of the front still kicks ass.
Further clue to Clsrksuns' ID, mediocre grammar and a patronising tone; yet the ability to take on the guise of another character.
