Fitting race harnesses

Has anyone got a diagram or photos of their race harness install??

I am trying to fit 4 point harnesses to my car which has a harness bar on the cage. Do the shoulder straps have to cross over before mounting to the harness bar?? Where is the best place to mount the eybolts for the lap belts?

Any advice (in laymans terms!) would be appreciated.

Try having a look at this lot. More than enough info. I think that the straps should cross if there a certain distance (200mm/ 8in) from the back of the seat.

any ideas where the best place is to mount the harness eye,to the left of the drivers seat??its all a bit tight down there!!

Mine goes through the floor with a proper threaded plate welded in underneath

Ours went on the transmission tunnel, few pilot holes with a small drill bit tho trying to find somewhere that would take a backing plate without gearbox mounts getting in the way. You can kind of judge it by the position of the spot welds on the transmission tunnel.

Ive brought some plates for my harnesses with the correct thread for the eye bolts they turned up to day and they are only 1" x 2" ?????????? Are these up for the job???????
