I have a 3.91 standard diff on my 325 and wanted a lsd in the same ratio but no one has one what is the next size im not too bothered on topend but do want excelleration?????

The 3.91 LSD is pretty common. You should be able to get one. I would hold out a while longer.
The next option would be a 3.73 but they are rare. A 4.10 would not suit 325.

The 4.10 is best suited to the IS.
The Sport had either a 3.64 or 3.73
I'm not sure about the M3 3.25 maybe

For the 318is, I would stick to 4.10 for a stock setup, although the 3.91 will not effect it too much - but the 3.91 ratio is ideal if the engine has been modified. Usual sources are the US E30 M3 (4.10), the European 325i Sport (3.91) or any 318i/is fitted with a LSD.

I've just recently bought one fron Redeemer Beemer (listed on Ebay)
Had been sandblasted/painted/new seals/gaskets etc
Even came with 2 litres of diff oil

Can recommend him for fast service

Thanks for the offer but im going to put off the lsd for a few months and get a roll cage instead

Personally the LSD was the single most enjoyable modification i have made to an e30.

a lsd was the first thing on my list but it wont do me any good when im upside down wishing i had the cage
just have to wait a few months

have you used yours on track?did it make much difference?
