Light weight doors
Moderator: martauto
has it got all the sound deading and trim on the door? if so get shot of it, also if it has electric windows, that makes alot of difference to the weight compared to wind up windows, the door is going on a track car i guess. so you could fit lightweight plastic windows.

Hi
With the grp doors it is perspex window with sliders if you want them
No idea of a light wiegt 4 door, rear could be made from a single door skin and pespex and just pin them.
to save wieght on the fronts i guess if you go to perspex you can lose the windees etc to save wieght

Just spoke to www.plastics4performance.co.uk and the kits are cheap than I was thinking and they can do front wind up windows.
The ones they recomend for the road/track day are £160 + vat for the kit add £40 for wind up windows.
