Can anyone tell me what a decent e30 time at Donington is...
The conditions were perfect, dry and not warm...
Just wondering... we posted a 1:28:6 and plenty in the low 1:30's how far of a "quick" E30 is that ? winkeye

Not much more to do to car (apart from M3 or NOS or Turbo) so wondering if we should scrap the drivers or not ?

Well, the lap record for a Kumho E30 325 is 1.23.1 and most are between 1.24-1.26 and that is on Kumho hard compound tyres, with slicks you'd expect at least 1 sec faster, did you time on a trackday?

That is quite a bit quicker than us the ! So as I thought, time to sack the drivers a  as we were on rally tarmac tyres (not quite slicks) but very grippy...

Timing at a trackday ? thats not allowed is it winkeye

Driver experience will account for around 2 secs maybe more and then the rest is purely in shell and suspension development, 1.23.1 is an impressive time, even more so if you knew what a shed the car was, cracking engine and cracking driver though

I'm afraid you are asking me a tecchy question and I'm a technical numpty :o: .... We bought the car already converted. However, I think the block and pistons are standard 325, the capacity is increased by using the crank from a 525eta then doing work on head and block to ensure its decked properly... try searching the forums for 2.7 or posting on the technical help forum ? :?
