Wot-ho chaps,
I'm looking to replace the E30 steering rack for a more responsive with less turns E36 rack. This is for my 1988 325i track car with no power steering...so

Q1: Where's the best place to get one
Q2: Approx price
Q3: What are my options (new , refurb, which model )
Q4: Anyone done this upgrade, and any pitfalls?

Advice most welcome :D
Cheers

Pretty sure there is something in the technical section on this, Z3 1.9 rack comes to mind but I might be confusing this with the E36, E46 racks fit E36's so it must be possible to use the E46 rack, we use the compact rack on our E36 racer

Just noticed the RIP for the Audi - nightmare, what are you going to get to 'replace' it or is it the 325 from now on?

Audi + 2 deer = 2 dead deer and 1 dead audi.

Still waiting for the insurance company to stop taking the piss. Then the BMW will be my daily drive (when my carbon sunroof finally arrives) until probably late august when i should have enough cash together for a late '97 range rover 4.6.
