just wondered what people thought about oil choice. i am currently running silkolene pro-r 15/50 but my head gasket has just gone and i have gone to buy some more oil and realised how expensive it is. was thinking of using valvoline racing oil. anyone got any views on these two oils ?? car is a track only ex kumho racer. for full details / spec see website at www.greenbwm.co.uk. cheers.

We used the Valvoline 15/50 last season Jonathan and it was good but needed changing every 2 races to stay at its best, we now use Royal Purple and change it every 6 races or so, it's expensive but is top quality and works back to the same cost so we stick with it. It's the same stuff that all the Britcar and GT boys use

decided to go with the silkolene pro -s. had a chat with opieoilsman and think this is the best. not too expensive but better than the valvolene (its ester based so clings to cam to give good cold start protection).

dom - i will start buying this from your new shop from now on. i needed it in a hurry though so went with opie this time. got it for 39.99 delivered. what will your price be inc delivery please

cheers
