HI i was just reading the forum on steering racks, very interesting, though i have a problem with mine and wonder if any body can help, i have a e30 1991 318i man rack. but there is some play on it, i have changed tracrod ends and ball joints but no change, there is a nut with a hole in it its about 22mm, and a plastic ring around the nut with notches on it. could this be an adjustment by any chance ?. can you put a 
on my face ?.
