Does anyone have any suggestions for taller/stiffer springs for an 320. I use the car for navigational rallying on and off road and am sick of it bottoming out over bumps and on rougher tracks.

I don't want to spend any real money and was thinking perhaps of trying springs from a heavier car. Perhaps an E34 5 series as I can get them for free? Ideas?

325 struts for strength sound like a good idea but mine are still in good shape so they can wait.

Cheers.

I don't know the lb/in rates, but when I converted mine from auto to manual the front sat at least a couple of cm higher, I think auto springs are either longer free length or stiffer lb/in because of the extra gearbox weight.

That's handy, my mate has a 320 auto that gets used on the same rallies, it's destined for a 325 manual swap. I'm sure he'll be glad to hear ther'll be a bit more air under the sump.

Will have a look see if I can find some auto springs.

Cheers
